This is a project that is a work in progress. It was taken in relative dark skies compared to Singapore as a single frame test before the skies deteriorated. A 10 minutes exposure of the skies at Cygnus, NGC 7000, the North America Nebula, a faint nebula with a small portion of the Pelican Nebula. NGC 7000 resembles the continent of North America. Although it is large, covering an area more than four times the size of the full moon, its surface brightness is low and usually cannot be seen with the naked eye. A beautiful, breathtaking and awe inspiring view of Noboribetsu Onsen’s Jigokudani through a fisheye lens. The mass of clouds with patches of blue coming through along with the barren terrain of the valley makes for a nice composition. Messier 31, the Andromeda Galaxy and its companions, Messier 110 and Messier 32, it is a spiral galaxy that lies some 2.5 million light years away from us is our Milky Way’s closest major galaxy. The name comes from the constellation Andromeda, in which the galaxy is found. It can be seen with our naked eyes as a long hazy patch in the sky in dark skies, or a smudge in brighter skies. The Milky Way and Andromeda galaxy is expected to collide in excess of 4.5 billion years. This image is shot with a Sony a7ii (ILCE-7m2) through a telescope (70mm APO Q f6) on CEM25P.
