The walls of Tifa’s bar are decorated with many landscape photos and paintings of areas around the world of Gaia. She also has a few photos and portraits of the former AVALANCHE team upstairs, as well as a small photo of herself, Cloud, Marlene, and Denzel, which she usually keeps at the bar counter. Aside from the fact that I really only know Kain from Dissidia, like before I’ve ever even known this character--I’ve always liked him and have always wanted to change though I dunno where to start but that’s how my love starts with most of these characters anyway. The main reason I’ve wanted to get to know more about him is because 1. Liam O’Brien voices him as well as he does Caius Ballad (obviously lmfao, 2. he’s from Dissidia and I’ve seen a little here and there about the game his from--now the one I’ve mentioned but his own game. And from what I seen, basing it off of the little that I know when playing Dissidia is that I really like the way that you play him.And I think I saw you post something about all the stuff that he’s gone through and I just love and respect the fact that you’re staying true to his character. Like I understand that sometimes people are sensitive towards that sort of material but I really love it when people just stick to what they know their character for and the stuff that they’ve gone through so like if I were to roleplay as him (like I’ve wanted too) I just feel like your blog is something I could depend on for information. I know this positvity probably isn’t that great but this is a blog where I’d start off from--not to copy but to kinda get a go to reference from.

Gau looked up, watching Kain leap from place to place. After a moment, he hunched down, wiggling his butt like a cat ready to pounce.

“GAU JUMP TOO!” he shouted, then leaped, landing next to Kain. The boy looked up, smiling wide, clearly pleased with himself.

 Sephiroth lingered for a little longer after his first group had stepped through the portal. Just when he was about to proceed on, he hears footsteps approaching his person and briefly paused to wait.

Approaching the portal , Firion took a deep breath and watched as his allies disappeared into the dungeon in their groups. Firion hadn`t had the chance to join a  group as of yet and was shocked when a familiar silver haired general waited for him.

"Sephiroth do you not have a group?"

 ' I did. '

Sephiroth informed, his voice dipping light to avoid causing echoes within the cave. From Firion's lack of persons around him, it was easy to deduce that Firion is currently alone in his expedition.

"You`ve finished already?"

Hope was snuffed out immediately , expecting Sephiroth to not want to bother with fighting the beasts inside once again . After all the chaos these past few weeks he expected it must feel relieving to finally finish gathering.

‘ No. There were many of us. I did not obtain all that I needed. ‘

Sephiroth tilted his head slightly, his gaze surveying the expression on Firion's face. It had became custom for him to analyse his fellow warriors -- with every of their flickering expressions speaking volumes of their thoughts.

' On top of that, the fight with the champion troll ended too quickly because it was still at low health...

It feels rather ... unnerving. '

"Do you think it`s still about then? It could have retreated to recover."

Flinching as mint green eyes sent a chill up his spine , Firion averted his own golden hued orbs to the ground. There was one thing about Sephiroth , he couldn`t tell what was running through his mind half the time and that unnerved him.

"Is the dungeon tough? I haven`t been inside yet..nor do I have anyone to go with."

 ' I cannot be certain. It would pose no harm to search. '

It wasn't rare for anyone to find Sephiroth intimidating; in fact many have expressed their discomfort through non too subtle body languages. Firion was no different. Nevertheless, it's a matter that he's accustomed to.

' No. There are traps, however. '

"I see. Well- thank you for telling me. Sephiroth , if it`s no trouble , could you join me? Taking down the monsters would be much easier with you fighting by my side."

 ' Hmm. I do not mind. '

Sephiroth responds after some thought. It would not have mattered either way. He doubts Firion to be one who would slow him down. Thus he began walking towards where he previously threaded upon.

Not expecting Sephiroth to go inside , Firion quickly followed as he took his answer as a yes. Well- with Sephiroths skill , hopefully this dungeon wouldn`t take to long. "Where do we begin?"

' East leads to the champion troll. '

Sephiroth said as he leads the way as per before. Not after long he halted in his steps after noticing the box that was destroyed by Rufus.

' There is a trap ahead. '

Nodding , Firion glanced down at the box and asked quietly.

"Do we destroy it? Or just walk past it?"

' We walk past it. '

Sephiroth examined the area. Afterwards, he raised his hand to summon fire magic and propel it in the direction of the path. Soon, several spikes shot up from the ground a few small distance away.

 Nodding , Firion kept his eyes locked on the box as he cautiously walked around the spiked ground.

"Are they all this simple to pass?"

' No if you are unaware. One from our group was injured by this. '

Sephiroth continue to head towards where the champion troll is. Hopefully it'd be at full health. It would be worth the fight then.

"Oh- well I will keep a look out then."

Following closely after the general , Firion remained quiet as he observed the cavern . From what he had read , the dust which was to be gathered resided in water  ,where would there be water this far underground?

"Is the water near the troll then? I need to collect radiant dust."

 Kain was sitting against the walls just ahead, surrounded by broken pots (he'd found two high potions and a phoenix down!) and drinking from a canteen. He'd stopped due to a headache, or so he'd said. Thus he was waiting behind, he'd challenge the troll soon enough. Eventually he heard Firion talking, echoed through the cave. He wondered for a moment if he was just crazy or what.

Sephiroth trudges along the path towards the champion troll, narrowing his eyes when he observed another presence in this cave. Another fellow warrior, probably. As he neared, he could hear a voice ... snickering.

' Oooh ... look, it's the momma's boy '

Instantly, Sephiroth was in front of the fallen man, looming over and glaring with eyes short of their usual shine of patience.

Keeping his close distance , Firion knew something was wrong the moment the distance between them grew. Doing his best to keep up , Firion was about to speak and ask what was wrong before his eyes fell upon the sight of his fallen friend.

"Kain? Are you alright?"

Kneeling beside him , Firion placed a hand gently upon Kains shoulder.

 "A headache, nothing more." Between it's comment and Firion being here it was clear Sephiroth must have been staring him down. How unfortunate that is. He sighs, shaking his head and opening his eyes. "I'm well, thank you."

 ' A little weak on your legs, are you? '

Sephiroth could still hear the snickering that ensued after the comment was made by Dark Kain. Quite annoying it is but he'd opt to ignore it for now. Instead, he turned towards the entrance of the champion troll's lair. 

' Let's proceed. '

 "We can`t just leave him here."

Wrapping an arm around Kains waist, Firion turned to stare at Kain before protesting.

"You don`t look well. If you need assistance I can help."

 "I'll be fine. I have materials to collect." And with that he raises to his feet, glancing towards the Troll's lair.

Sephiroth didn't take any pausing in stepping into the champion troll's lair. Call it arrogance if may, he has hardly doubted his aptitude in combat. Soon enough, Sephiroth has masamune manifested in his hand.

 Releasing Kain hesitantly , Firion nodded and looped his rope around his dagger. "Ready when you two are."

Concentrating , Firion then threw the dagger directly at the trolls neck , aiming to stun it or take the creatures attention away from his comrades.

He'd guess that means he's supposed to help these two now. Alright then. So Kain draws his lance, glancing towards the Champion Troll. It's not like his head hurts any less, but its better than before, so it's now or never. Kain starts out simple, taking hold of his lance and spinning it, a spiral of wind shooting out towards the Troll.

 The troll roared in rage while a dagger was lodge in his neck and even louder when the wind hit his chest. He stumbled back a little, shaking his head to ward the dizzy spell off. In a fit of rage, he stomped towards the intruders with a hand outstretched, intending to grab.

Sephiroth immediately flitted to the side, masamune raised and swung down upon the troll's wrist, slicing off his hand clean.

Releasing the rope , Firion rolled to the side to avoid being crushed by the hand falling in front of him. Rolling his bow off his shoulder , Firion took an arrow and decided to switch to a more safer approach , shooting arrow after arrow aiming at the beasts eyes.

No mercy. It was expected, really. Before the hand fell Kain jumped, landing on the appendage just long enough to jump off again, tossing the his lance towards the beast's head. He'll have to retrieve it, but ayy it works.

 The troll let out a cry of pain and rage as it stumbled backwards at both of the arrows piercing his body and lance propelled into his forehead. Sephiroth gathers mako in his hand and swiftly casted a fire spell on the troll, triggering an explosion that will render the troll on his back and unconscious.

Watching as the beast came crashing down to it`s feet , Firion slung the bow back over his shoulder before advancing towards the beasts corpse , his face void of emotion .

"Let`s end it quickly and find the other materials."

 Kain lands from his jump, leaping back towards the beast, stepping on it's head to reclaim his lance. He isn't certain that it's dead, thus tosses the lance at it's chest; lands and then reclaims it.

Sephiroth went over to the fallen troll and searched for its belongings. He retrieved the onyx lodestone, pile of putrid essence and gossamer scrap. He searched the troll further to retrieve more of the items -- it would seem that the troll had been interested in collecting just these three -- it has plenty. They could divide it among one another afterwards. ' The pool where the dusts are contained is ahead. '

Nodding , Firion took a last glance at the troll before following closely after Sephiroth. His knowledge of the dungeon proved extremely useful .

"Are there anymore traps up ahead?"

Deciding to wait for Kain , Firion grew a smile before asking , not thinking anything of the question.

"Is your headache better?"

"What all does everyone need? I need five of the lodestones myself. Last I checked, Firion is the same." He pauses, remembers the headache he'd complained of and grabbed his canteen to take a drink again. Better safe than in pain. "I'm... alright now, I believe." But for how long...

' Fifteen in total. ' Sephiroth checked the bag and there was it. For a large troll, it'd be simple to find a larger quantity of materials on him. After that was confirmed, Sephiroth turned to another passageway. ' The troll will regenerate. I suggest that a rest at the pool would be more ideal. '

 "I`m glad you`re feeling better..although Sephiroth is right , we should rest up first. We can collect the dust in the pool while we are there."

Taking out his cotton pouch , Firion gave it a rough shake , letting out any dust that had gathered before turning to Sephiroth once again.

"Once we reach the pool , is the chest nearby as well?"

Kain nods. "Lets go then."

' It should be. '

Sephiroth nodded and continued onwards through the path. After some time of walking, they have finally reached a path that would lead straight to the pool. When the mist started gathering, Sephiroth closed his eyes and leaned a hand against the wall to guide.

' This mist causes harm to your eyes. Close them. '

 "How do we-?" Watching Sephiroths hand move to the wall , Firion simply nodded before following his orders. Feeling his fear creep up on him , Firion brushed his hand across the wall before cautiously walking forward .

 "Greatt.." This wasn't going to be fun, but whatever. Kain followed suit and internally hoped that nobody bumped into a wall. At least, not while he couldn't watch it happen.

 The saving grace was that the path was straight so it's impossible to become lost unless one walks backwards. After awhile, they finally reached the area where the pool is at. Sephiroth opened his eyes and approached the pool then.

' One needs to dive to the bottom of the pool to collect its dusts. '

 Feeling the corner of the wall , Firion peeked a single eye open before releasing them , taking in the breathtaking sight. Stopping at the edge of the pool, Firion nodded before taking out his cotton pouch , debating on if he should swim with his clothes on or not.

'D-dive?' Nope. nope. Nope nope nope. Absolutely not. Not now, not ever. He hadn't even opened his eyes yet, but here Sephiroth is, telling him to go swimming.

 The stutter in Kain's voice caused Sephiroth's eyebrow to rise. Nevertheless, he put that thought aside ( he had never been the empathetic kind, not expressively, at least ). ' One or two could dive into the pool to retrieve the dusts. Hand over your pouch to someone. '

"I can do it. I have to go down there anyway." Deciding to take off his shirt at least so he wouldn`t catch a cold , Firion offered a hand to take the pouch away from Kain.

"Thank you, Firion." He happily hands over the pouch and accepts that he's too weak to get the Radiant Dust himself.

Sephiroth shrugged his coat off and retrieved the pouch from his pocket. Afterwards he dived into the pool and gathered what he needed into the pouch. Afterwards he swam back up to the surface and exited the pool. He could have gotten it just now but he had lost the pouch due to... Yes, unfortunate circumstances.

Following after Sephiroth ,Firion dove into the pool and quickly made his way to the bottom. Picking at both pouches until they opened , Firion held the thin pieces of cotton just above the waterbed letting the mixture of sparkly dust and water fill them up. Once complete , Firion pushed himself up from the waterbed , flicking his legs until he reached the surface.

Kain stayed at the top, sorta just waiting. he's not big on this water bullshit.

Sephiroth put his coat back on and squeezed the excess water from his hair. He pocketed his own pouch into his pocket and looked over to the path ahead. There was a bridge and meters underneath was a deep stream of black water.

Peeking his head out from the water , Firion pushed himself out of the pool before hooking his shirt over his arm.  Pulling the string to secure the remaining dust , Firion then returned Kains pouch before glancing at the bridge ahead. "Lets hurry."

 "My thanks, Firion." He smiles just a bit then follows after Sephiro- Crystals damn it why is there more water? Nobody warned him about all this water. Why is there SO MUCH WATER.

 Sephiroth places a foot on the bridge and it immediately began to creak. It was unstable, no doubt, and if there was anything Mt. Nibel had taught him was that bridges are unreliable when they make noises.

Glancing down at the dark water, a black wing protuded out from his back. Flying over would be the safest bet.

Watching the wing fly out in front of them , Firions eyes widened in shock as he instantly retreated. How were they supposed to get over if Sephiroth was going to fly? Would he carry them?

"...Are you going to take us over there? Or leaving us to cross this bridge on our own."

 "It likely isn't safe..." He mutters. Great. "I think I can jump it..."

Sephiroth glanced back at Firion then towards the bridge again. It would have been more strenous if anyone were to fall. Sephiroth's wing moved and his feet left the ground.

Grabbing Firion and Kain by the back of their collars, he silently flew over the bridge and dropped them off at the other end.

Not expecting Sephiroth to actually carry them , Firion simply stared up at Sephiroth in utter confusion before quietly thanking him. At least this dungeon ran smoothly..and no one had gotten injured or died. Breathing a sigh , Firion began to walk forward. "Let`s go and find the chest."

 "I-" The fact Sephiroth can manage this amazes him, especially considering he only has one wing. "My Thanks. Sephiroth." What the hell just happened...

Sephiroth's wing disappeared and he looked around the area after giving a small nod to them. He walked over to the special entry then glanced at the sides where there are two plates on the ground. One of them would have to stand on each plate.

Sephiroth went over to one of the plates and stood on it.

' One more person is needed to stand on the other side. '

Nodding , Firion once again obeyed before making his way towards the plate , standing on it impatiently before turning his head to the pair. "Hopefully the difficult part is over now.."

 "From what I've heard, all that's left is the treasure chest."

 ' Indeed. '

The large stone that blocked the path was lifted after the two stood on the trigger plates. Sephiroth went through the newly opened passageway and approached the treasure that is located not far from the gap.

' This is it. '

 Following after the pair , Firion cautiously observed the opening before glancing at the rather large chest. Now the age old question , how do they open it? Taking out his blade , Firion was tempted to attack the chest until it opened,however, he knew there must be another way.

 "That seems like a very primitive way to do it Firion." The sentence is good natured, a chuckle as he speaks. Regardless, Kain also is unsure of how it opens, he simply walks forward and attempts to pull it open.

 As far as he knows, there wasn't any complicated requirements to retrieve the materials as compared to the other two sets. He approached the large treasure chest and placed his hand on the other side of it.

It's heavy but it certainly isnt locked. With his SOLDIER strength and any other weird chemicals that honed it, he pushed the lid of the treasure chest open.

There was it. Glacial lodestones and crystal silver.

Flinching as Sephiroth seemed to push the lid off of the treasure chest with ease , Firion took a peak inside the chest before pulling out the bundle of glacial lodestones. Following Sephiroths example where they would sort the loot out afterwards , Firion packed the lodestones away in his extra leather pouch before showing a confident smile. "Lets leave this place. We`re finally done."

[❁] Maybe the stranger hadn’t gotten enough sleep, or was allergic to the surrounding plants -- whatever the case, it was enough to cause the girl quite a bit of concern (as someone whose health erred poor more often than well, she saw such things within instants).

Well, she did have water on her, somewhere in her pack -- it wouldn’t hurt to bring some out for the person. Hands would rummage about in a bag as deep as any merchant’s, fishing for a jar and quickly offering it outwards. [❁]
