One of my favorite things is that a lot of the people whose muses I had admired from afar at one point on high have become my good friends, and @chaosfaery is no different! I first experienced Lilé interacting with Alaric (@alaricseer) and I was immediately taken by how charming and somewhat childlike the sweet fae was, full of adolescent hopes and dreams that were unresolved. Now that I've gotten well over my head in our ship, I know even better now that what I had appreciated before wasn't scratching the surface.

Lilé is one of my favorite characters because I strive to make myself more like her. She's fiercely loyal and protective, and no matter the depths of her trauma (and boy, has she got plenty), she's quick to support those around herself and form meaningful bonds and offer people the chance to prove themselves; no making snap judgements for her. And she listens to her gut, and I think we could all do with relearning to do that more often.

@beautiful-mischief's portrayal of Loki always leaves me floored and delighted. There's so much tenderness in their treatment of the character, and while I'm admittedly not the most up to date on my Marvel media, I've always felt that there's a wonderful balance of canon and interpretation to the Loki they portray. Someone confident, assured, who needs no other person but forms bonds strongly and would go to the ends of the world for those close to them, friends or foes. It's a wonderful thing to appreciate in a character, and I absolutely adore the details that go into the mun's representation.

Not to mention, of course, Aislinn. She deserves her own post, truly, but the compliments are just as true of her. She feels no less deep, no less fleshed out than the character older than time itself, it sometimes seems.

@alaricseer and I have been writing for… hell, ages and ages. Back before Soudan was even a name written in stone and far, far before I knew what the fuck I was doing. So much of my writing has been influenced by Jaymes and his never ending kindness and patience and willingness to hear me out, but an even bigger part of that has been the willingness to throw Alaric against whoever I’ve concocted that week and see what happens. I see Soudan and Nijad’s side of Ala, but it’s a joy to see the diva, the prince, the hellion, and the downright bastard that comes out too against other characters (as well as my own). It’s a pleasure to see the consistency these years have brought, seeing Ala as a very tangible person as well as character, along with the growth and adaptions.

Both you and Ala inspire me endlessly, butthead.

☢ What fads/trends are you so over?

SELF INSERTS. Holy shit. There are times I can get it, I get that in some senses it can be therapeutic to roleplay scenarios, but for the love of every god and devil, Please Make Sure Your RP Partner Knows. ALSO, and Sarge (@stillwater-butcher) has already had to listen to me rant about this, there are times where a self insert isn't therapeutic and is instead a form of self harm and once I realized, it's hard to unsee it. Giving a character what someone feels is their insecurities or their shortcomings, or giving them the really difficult scenarios or biases that were put against them to then play out is just plain old very terrible for their mental health. Not to mention it can then make partners INCREDIBLY uncomfortable, on top of having to try and not further traumatize the mun in question, or try to satiate the mun's needs with their replies.

✂ A fandom that you feel isn’t open and accepting?

Since I haven't really experienced fandoms, since I've always written and mostly played against OC's, canon divergent canons, or people who beefed up minor characters into mains of their own, I haven't had a lot of experience with fandoms as a whole. What I can vouch for though is the OC community isn't much better, from all the horror stories I've heard of the fandom community, with the added bonus of people hardcore self-inserting. At the end of the day, I'm okay keeping hardcore fandoms at an arms length lmao.

❥ Has someone ever ruined an FC or character for you?

I wouldn't say that anyone has ruined a character or FC for me specifically, but I've definitely lost interest in certain overused FC's or found myself steering clear of interacting with certain characters when a fandom explodes with main character canon muses (did that even make sense? Lmao). I can't even tell you how long it took me to finally watch The Witcher, and I still find myself steering clear of the abundance of Geralt muses on here. Not everyone has main character capabilities (oops).
