Just had a dream (this happened after the Oval Tower collapse au) where Sei passed away at some point in the future and Alpha was really upset about it. He trie to find ways of "reviving" Sei and both Clear and Alpha 2 were quite concerned on his obsessiveness and using all of his time and energy researching about it. I don't remember if he tried other alternatives first before trying to test out on bringing Sei's consciousness out from Usui. Trouble was that it didn't work; Usui would just stand there and stare motionless while Alpha is figuring out wth he was suppose to do. And then one point where he was really down-spirited Usui made some slight reactions and Alpha was slight surprised. Then Usui starts to talk a bit before he was able to meet Sei's consciousness and was absolutely thrilled that he didn't leave. Long story short- an Au where Alpha misses Sei so much after his death and in the end, Alpha spent an eternity with Sei while leaving his physical body lifeless in reality.

Messed around with this Halloween plot generator a bit, and here are some of the results:

Alpha pranks Aoba and accidentally scares him to death. (...Oops.)

Alpha and Koujaku go shopping and pick out each other’s Halloween costumes. (Well, this will probably end badly.)

Alpha hears horrible noises coming from Noiz’s attic. (...OR THEO’S? HM?)

Alpha stays in with Noiz who is sick on Halloween. (Reminds me of one of my favorite Noiz threads ever... Sigh....)

Clear encounters Alpha, the vengeful ghost inhabiting his new home. (Well, this sure wouldn’t be too inaccurate.)

Mink forces Alpha to help him dig up or bury a body at the cemetery. (...I kind of need this now?? Forceful Mink dominating even Alpha, you don’t...nnnn...)

Sei and Alpha lose one another inside a haunted house. (Wait, the commercial kind or the real thing? How about the latter~?)

Sei encounters Alpha, the ‘one that got away’ at a masquerade party several years later. (Welp, this would clearly be right up my alley.)

Alpha loses Mizuki’s kid/sibling while trick-or-treating. (ALPHA, YOU FAIL AT CHILDREN.)

Alpha wins a weekend getaway trip to a haunted hotel and invites Mizuki. (Does Mizuki even like scary things?)

Trip and Alpha go trick-or-treating even though they’re grown-ups. (This is...kind of...cute...?? But you know they’re gonna be punks, you just know it.)

Alpha cuts the power off and invades ViTri’s house. (Like that AU I mentioned where the Alphas are sent to retrieve ViTri and Aoba in the ViTri bad end, eh? Ehh?)

Alpha 2 catches Alpha egging his house. (”Alpha, this is OUR house...” I can’t--)

Alpha clings to Alpha 2 during a scary movie marathon, but Alpha 2 doesn’t mind. (... *rolls off into oblivion*)

So if. Anybody wants to RP any variant of these (or the actual meme) with me. Like even if your muse is not the character mentioned, JUST HIT ME UP?

One Way AlphaSei Excels

Post-fall, he really is a lot more defensive. There’s much more uncertainty in his life, and he’s in a place of crushed confidence. He’s taken on a great amount of insecurity, distrust, and frustration and experienced such unimaginable loss. In terms of mood, he can be a lot more surly and resentful–bitter. He often vacillates between anger and sadness. The former is more acceptable to him than the latter, as he feels the misery he experiences is a sort of weakness, and he would be making himself vulnerable to express it. He ‘knows’ nobody cares about his troubles; exposing himself to others would only be opening himself up to injury and damage. Though he is extremely loathe to admit it, inside he feels uncontrollably fragile.

Even with himself, he desperately wants to avoid feeling so broken. Most of the time, he makes great efforts to stifle the psychological pain he feels. He tries to ignore the feelings that come with painful thoughts and pretend he’s strong and feeling fine. To him, refusing to acknowledge the depth of his depression is like precariously skirting around an omnipresent abyss. If he were to give in, fall in, there’s no telling if he could ever will himself to rise back up. He feels avoidance and suppression are the only ways to protect himself. Thus, consciously, he is extremely out of tune with his emotions.

And yet, even the times he manages to feel happy, the very realization of the feeling instantly kills it. It’s like there’s a nagging in his head, relentlessly reminding him of everything he has to feel miserable for. …Almost like he cannot allow himself to move on, after everything that’s happened–like it would be treason to forget everything important to him that is now gone. He feels he can’t be happy, things can’t get better, if he were to remain who he was and keep everything sacred close to him. Because everything he is–was–everything he valued and looked up and forward to, every hope he had for the future, has been crushed, erased, destroyed. He holds onto the shattered fragments with absolute fidelity and choked conviction as their broken edges cut into him unceasingly.

Hurr durr, I’m quoting myself. But I wanted to point out as a complete side note that this is why I feel post-tower AlphaSei works...at least in a verse where Sei didn’t destroy the tower in attempt to harm Toue Inc. Like...the headcanon verse where he did it only after Toue killed himself, to do away with it and himself as a sense of finality and keep its past from being wholly exposed to the outside. Hrm.

BUT ANYWAY, MY POINT. Is that Sei was a part of Alpha’s old world. He was essentially a creation of Toue’s, just like Alpha, and he survived, too (in said verse). Sei is what’s left of Oval Tower, Toue Inc., Platinum Jail. Home. To Alpha, Sei comes to embody all his old hopes and dreams; he’s the flickering flame keeping him feeling alive, allowing him to feel that it’s okay to be happy. Reminding him that he can still be his old self without being broken. Sei is his solace. With Sei, Alpha can move on while continuing to preserve what he held dear.

This is how I feel about AlphaSei.

Oh no, I just sadded out of the blue!

Imagine all the prior experiments and abuses of his power finally took their toll on Sei some time after the tower fell, causing his health to decline sharply. He wound up in the hospital with a likely-terminal diagnosis, and all his friends and family are in the waiting room, hoping to hear updates on his condition. But Alpha’s there, too, sitting off in an isolated corner, removed from them, falling apart inside, alone.

Since Alpha is living in a verse where Alpha 2 is dead, imagine a different verse where he is alive and that Alpha and Sei living and dating each other. I can imagine them either directly or indirectly flirting/teasing each other while Alpha2 is not far away from those two, thinking that they should just get a room and not feeling like a third wheeler in the house.

Ahhh and imagine one or both of them (especially Alpha) protesting at Alpha 2′s comments, like imagine a scenario in which they don’t fully acknowledge their feelings for the other but to Alpha 2 it’s COMPLETELY OBVIOUS, so he refuses to ignore the elephant in the room, and it embarrasses themmm, gosh I live for sexual/romantic tension.

Or or what if Alpha 2 acted as a sort of grounding force that kept them from being so polarized and fighting all the time. OT3??

OR IMAGINE THE ALPHAS TEAMING UP TO BE LITTLE SHITS TO SEI? COULD SEI SURVIVE THAT???
