Thanksgiving for the striders was filled with Chinese take out after bro burnt the turkey. They are, drank, and laughed into the night eventually passing out on the futon to some hallmark Christmas classic.

They woke up black Friday and lazily smooched each other's hangovers away to go online and get a jump on Christmas over thanksgiving left overs and Gatorade.

the fact that I legitimately see the “unless you’re a survivor”  Like its fiction, you can not like it. the fact you will ruin people to force them to out some traumatic backstory like the CW makes shit shows is disgusting. Like you bully and harass people until they out themselves, something they might not be comfortable with. All for your purity politics. 

do you realize how gross that is? 

I don’t like loud noises, but people don’t demand the story in order to respect my preference to not hear loud noises. They say “okay.” and get on.  And you shouldn’t be demanding the backstory of some stranger on the internet just so they can live peacefully.

An AU where Dirk is a merman and his older brother disappeared when he was younger. One night there's a storm and yacht crashes near where Dirk lives. Lo and behold, the yacht belongs to the famous Dave Strider. It turns out Dave pulled an Ariel and made a deal with the a sea witch to become human. The catch is he had to leave his whole family behind and the sea witch constantly watches over him to make sure he keeps the promise. 

But Dave feels homesick so he goes out and attempts to look for his family after watching an Animal Planet special on mermaids and the "new proof" that captures his parents or something on video. So he sneaks behind the sea witch's back and goes out on his yacht for a "casual cruise". 

Dave should have known better, you don't just trick Rose Lalonde like that. She causes the storm that sinks his ship but they sort of became friends so she makes sure he doesn't die and does it conveniently right where Dirk lives near an abandoned island. But she refuses to make Dave a merman again, despite how much he regrets becoming human. That's his punishment.

But it's okay, he can live out his days on the island with Dirk while the rest of the world assumes he's dead.

Shit yo, you know what I want to RP? Something where Dirk is into black magic or a witch or something. How fucking boss would that be? Kinda like what Rose was into when she went Grimdark. Maybe he hides it from Alpha!Dave or something.

And then he gets into a fight with another coven and they curse Dave and suddenly all his bad shit starts happening to him and Dirk's just like oops haha yeah sorry you broke your arm that's my fault. But here, burn these leaves around your room every night and see if you can't find this little bag anywhere in your room with weird shit in it. If you do, burn it. 

Why, oh man you don't even want to know.

Assassinstuck AU.

Alpha!Dave and Dirk are long lost brothers who have never officially met. Dave ran away from home when he was younger to pursue a Hollywood career that his family thought was foolish--joke's on them considering he made it fucking big--but as a consequence he doesn't even know he has a little brother. Dirk, on the other hand, avidly follows any news about his brother and watches him from the shadows.

Their parents are long dead, killed by whatever organization recognized Dirk's talent and wanted to raise him into the assassin trade.

Crocker Industry loves young talent, after all.

Dirk kills targets and helps them develop new technology for their agents. They provide him with pretty much everything he could ever hope for and for an assassin he lives a fancy, lavish lifestyle. Of course, only if he obeys them without question. They can't use the mind control shit on him because he was the one that DESIGNED the mind control shit.

Then one day, Dirk gets a new target.

Dave Strider.

Until then he had only killed enemies of Crocker Industry and those who he could see posing a big problem. He doesn't understand how Dave can really be an issue, how can he be one of the bad guys? So he starts doing a little digging, both into Dave and into Crocker Industry. He finds out that the company he works for isn't exactly the company he thought. They have bigger plans, plans that Dave is subtly trying to ruin through his movies and fame.

Crocker Industry is trying to take over the world, Dave is leading a rebellion against them, and Dirk has been charged to take his life.

He tells himself that he'll do it, but after slipping up and actually talking to the brother he never had, it becomes harder and harder to actually take his life. He tries to get close enough to pull off the job but every time Dave will say or do something that has Dirk hesitating. And Crocker Industry is getting impatient.
