alpheus and ant?

Yeah that's about right.

Alpheus kidnaps Ant again and is trying so hard to have his emo archnemesis-villain arch and after another long melodramatic speech Ant's just like "Yeah anyways." and walks off looking at random stuff around his sub and probably snatching a Lemurian artifact that Alpheus stole from them at some point earlier until mom, dad, and big sis arrive to pick him up from involuntary daycare.

Something really cool about The Deep (2015) is that the submarines of the Nektons and Alpheus look like a sperm whale and giant squid, respectively.

In the wild, these two animals are rivals. While no one has ever seen them fight (that we know of!), there's lots of evidence that they do — remains of giant squid have been found inside sperm whales, and many sperm whales have scars from large tentacles.

I think this is done on purpose. Using the conflict between two formidable species to represent the conflict between the two most advanced submarines in the sea is a great allegory, and it's a cool detail for those who are interested in marine biology.

#I have a lot of thoughts about Alpheus and the Nektons in this AU actually #the same amount of thought and lore and plot points that i have about the pirate family #I might’ve accidentally made gore of some peoples favorite/comfort character with that last one my bad😬#if i had to give alpheus a tag in this au it’d be ‘hurt/no comfort’#he had a lot of the same issues with Ant that he does in canon before he became a demon #which makes Fontaine uber protective of her brother with the disjointed memories that she still has #ant didn’t realize how bad it was until he runs into alpheus again and alpheus gives him the #‘traumatic backstory that excuses all my actions’ rant #except it doesnt it just makes ant realize how much Alpheus actually didn’t like him #he never though he liked him before but he didn’t realize it was bad enough that as soon as he remembered ant as a demon #he went straight to finding him #we love a problematic character #the deep 2015 #the deep cartoon #ant nekton #antaeus nekton #fontaine nekton #alpheus benthos #demon slayer/the deep au

my entry for the DTIYS! Alpheus, but if he was a member of the Dark Orca's crew. Somehow they manage to rescue him from the jellyfish, possibly because Finn memorised some facts to try and impress Fontaine, and now he's one of them and has integrated A.R.I.A into their systems - or just full-on replaced their systems with what still worked from the Stinger.

...I was too lazy to shade, so instead there is an oil smudge to kinda suggest the existence of cheekbones. He is pouring Dannyboy one (1) cup of coffee then taking the rest for himself because he is So Tired of everyone else's bullshit.

So i dont know if anybody remembers this fact about alpheus but in his concept his earlier desing he had whiteish hair before it was truned dark blue (which honestly for me it looks purple) so i decided to use the concept of the white hair and decided why not do the same thing i did with the ninjago ant and add purple highlights at the bottom(i also did the same one but with his original color dark blue since i know some people will get picky and say its blue instead of purple)
