I will say; the one problem with not having a consistent rendering style beyond ‘go through the brush library and see what happens’ is i make something I reeeeally like, and have no idea how to recreate it
Posting them here because their full appearance wont actually show in the drawing since there are people in front of them and i neeeed people to look at them in their full glory

Seeing these guys in Subnautica for the first time was a special moment for me. Surely other leviathans are just as friendly!
Geological horror. You find a geode and crack it open and the crystal lining its walls is human blood that can't be genetically matched to anyone. You find a human skeleton but every one of the bones is made from rock, a rock that you know can't be whittled into those shapes. You find layers of clay and loam that sport ancient fossils at the top and the still-rotting corpses of modern animals at the bottom.
This reminds me of the blood river in Antarctica. For like a century scientists had no clue why this river looked like, acted like, and felt exactly like blood. Turns out it’s just really high in iron.
"Blood River in Antartica" yeah right there's no way a river looks like bl-
...nevermind
Blood Falls isn't just high in iron, it's the byproducts of extremophile bacteria that have been isolated under a glacier in a iron- and sulfur-rich anoxic brine for the past 5 million years.
EVERYONE. GET MORE IN LOVE WITH YOUR FRIENDS NOW. FRIENDSHIP IS ALL WE HAVE ON THIS MISERABLE BALL OF DIRT FLOATING THROUGH SPACE. TELL YOUR FRIENDS YOU LOVE THEM!!!!!
Why is it that every time you try to write something that comes out of you're head you instantly forget what you had thought or whenever you write it down it dosent sound as good like you thought it would.

Arethusa, princess errant of Lemuria! or, Fem!Alpheus.
very pretty, very put together, right up until she is not. Proteus is very paternalistic towards her, very insistent on her being ladylike, and she is approximately two weeks away from having enough and giving herself a makeover, starting with offloading one grown man's worth of weight.
She looks like she’s side-eyeing someone out of sight and I love that
Character Creation: Transferable Skills
If your characters have specific skillsets, consider how you could apply them in other ways. It could make for an unexpected resolution to a conflict but also just a comedic scene.
Some examples:
knife expert -> cutting vegetables for dinner (very fast but the sizes may be all screwed up the first time)
investigator -> finding out who keeps leaving dirty dishes in the sink (and other domestic controversies)
physical strength -> designated jar opener
acrobat -> changing lightbulbs, hanging up paintings, ... anything where you would otherwise need a ladder
necromancer -> gardening. plant died? no problem.
charismatic and persuasive -> on duty for handling difficult dinner guests
Also consider playing with the exact opposite: you're good at x, so everyone expects you to be good at y, but for some reason you aren't and it is hilarious.
<3 Keep up the good work Gary! <3
<3 GOOD KITTY <3
Rewatching the original "The Little Mermaid" animated movie while working on something else... I can't quite recall at the moment (early into it atm) if this movie ever establishes Eric as the heir of the throne of his kingdom.
I think it'd be really funny if Eric was actually a younger brother. So, like, maybe he's a duke, actually, but he still gets the title of Prince. Travels the sea a lot, unlike a more landlocked heir. Hanging out at this summer seaside palace while the rest of the family is elsewhere for some reason.
Like, imagine Eric's parents and older brother and maybe sister-in-law and niblings getting that letter at the end of this movie. Nearly drowned. Miraculously washed ashore. Fell in love with a mysterious voice and then a mute girl. Got enchanted by a shape-shifting sea witch and nearly married her. Killed the sea witch after she turned into a giant. Married the aforementioned girl who turned out to be the beloved youngest daughter of the mythical King Triton instead and have now established a strong alliance with the merpeople. Wild summer! Wish you were here!

GOUGAR CLAIMS COOL ROCK
God forbid women do anything
She had a good time, too
there is this really specific thing that very Online women of a certain age (mostly older millennials and younger gen x in my experience) who are married to a man will do where they will refer to their husbands as "Mr. (Part of My Username)"
so like if the username is something like "dancingwithbears" they'll refer to their husband as "Mr. Bears"
i think it is extremely charming
i have for a while been using stepping on somebody's toes as a metaphor for misgendering. and i genuinely think that it's kind of a good one.
if you keep stepping on somebody's toes for a long time at minimum they're probably going to start really hating you and at maximum you might cause them lasting damage.
if you do it on purpose you're a dick. if it's on accident but you keep doing it that person is still going to be mad at you because you don't care enough to try not to step on their toes
if you give a grovelling begging apology after accidentally stepping on somebody's toes one time you're going to make the whole thing awkward, but not giving a quick "sorry" before moving on is still kind of rude.
Bodyguard Character Quirks when Off-Duty
putting their hand on the arm, back or side of friends and loved ones
positioning themselves between the door and the room
opening doors for others
automatically standing with a straight back and hands together
attentive as hell but bad at staying focused on conversations
punch and run first, ask questions... eventually
prefering to stand by walls or somewhere with view of the whole room
tense and anxious in public spaces because they know how lax and flawed most security plans for public events are
accidentally intimidating other people when walking through a mall like the terminator
