I thought about posting this on Sunday for Fathers’ Day, but I decided to just post it now instead. ^^” Anyway, I present to you Alphonse’s greatest hero and most influential father-figure, Erhardt Brauer. In other words, his grandfather. ovo Despite dying before Al could remember him, Erhardt continued to be his hero even in death through stories told by his mom, dad, and granny.
One thing to love about Erhardt is his open-minded approach to love-- something his wife, Ramona, is lacking. Although he naturally hoped Alphonse would marry a girl and have children with her, he truly hoped Al would be happy with whoever he chose in life, regardless of their gender. In telling Alphonse he’d find his own “princess” one day, he really just meant he’d find love. ^^” His wife is such a narrow-minded woman that he had to make it sound as if he was talking about girls only.
