Ah yes, why ship one, when you can ship all.

The fact that I drew this because I started shipping Toriphys (Toriel and Alphys), and I can't even draw Toriel :_) I can barely draw ANYONE in Undertale

asgore and toriel (deltarune) finally have a genuine heart to heart where they acknowledge their screw-ups, both with each other and the way they raised kris and asriel. instead of closing the door on them rekindling their relationship ever, they put forth talks towards counseling to see if the relationship is salvageable but not before toriel expresses asgore that she requires space to think and reevaluate things, especially after he would constantly violate her boundaries and force interactions with her in public spaces. asgore acknowledges his desperation toward rekindling their lost love and bringing the family back together was causing him to act uncharacteristically and unintentionally pushed toriel away even further but toriel also acknowledges that she should have just been straight with him and laid down the law on her boundaries sooner. (especially because asgore isn’t always the best at reading certain situations, thanks to his inate optimism and often oafish tendencies)

if they’re able to rekindle their marriage, the two promise to communicate better, be better parents to kris and asriel and they use the past as a way to build a better future for themselves and their family. (i include the holidays in this because they’re basically the extended family in my eyes)

if the marriage is unsalvageable and toriel is ready to move on, the two still make a promise to co-parent better and always be there for their children despite not being together anymore but they also promise to be there for each other as friends. the end. best of both things. asgore also finds peace in this and is ready to look elsewhere for love. perhaps alphys in this universe? alphyne is absolutely beautiful but i like the idea of this universe’s asgore and alphys becoming an item as a divergence from undertale’s ending. plus, they’re both fat and dorky oafs that deserve to find romantic happiness beyond pining after the ones they originally loved in undertale. since they don’t have the working relationship they once had in undertale, i can see asgore and alphys going on a date, which entails of them watching anime together, reading comic books and then going out to the local diner to eat good food then chat about their interests and life beyond what they’ve just dealt with recently. maybe alphys tries to pursue undyne and things just don’t work out so asgore and alphys find comfort in validating each other as worthy of love beyond their past loves not working out. i like that outcome a lot if torigorey is donezo.

Plz Toby let Asgore and Alphys have a fling or generally get together. Her bi heart would do wonders to his scrambled psyche. She had such a cute crush on him in undertale, and he respected her SO much as a friend... he gave her a tea cup that looked just like her and she always had it on her monitor desk...!! She introduced him to anime and comics (escapism from their troubles in both universes), which allows them to bond more..!! Let them be star trek geeks together or smth at the very least plzzzzzzzzzzz their dynamic would be cute and fucking hilarious.
