Like a Gift

Grinning from ear to ear. You ask me what I'm thinking about. "Nothing, really." I'm a liar. I'd love nothing more than to sink my teeth into your skin-- That, or to slice mine open once more. Faint pink ribbons on my thighs call my name day by day. I cant get enough of the unfortunate eroticism of it all. My self inflicted violence was worrying; You ask me what I'm thinking about. Nothing. Nothing at all.

I’ve changed a lot in a year

But still sometimes I look for you

In light washed jeans—

Corny marvel shirts

Or a messy bun.

I see you in every pair of black vans

I feel you every time I pull my pants up by the belt loop.

I hear you in casual conversation.

It’s weird to think that someone knows my history

Yet we’re perfect strangers now.

I’m fine with that.

Colour theory

Purple, the colour of bruises, eggplants, and many other unpleasantries. Red and blue parents mix together so nicely, but truly... Purple isn't for you. I myself am more acquainted with Blues and Yellows. A garish colour combo that somehow works. How could that be? Is it colour theory, or is it just public opinion? Kind of like Pink and Orange. Who the hell thought that would be so pretty? Why on earth do so many unlikely parings work so well together? What if we tried You and I?

To write about shades of pink, and how fit you look in yellow is proving to be quite the task.

I’ll just be blatant-

I think you’re beautiful.

To me

You have this aura that pulls me in.

I really want to know you.

I’m afraid that you’ll soon occupy my entire mind

Dancing around my frail sense of security

And tiptoeing in and out of the closets of my pride. Creating more layers for yourself

An everlasting gobstopper.

With you on my mind, how could I ever be lonely again?
