For a belated Nice Ask Week ask; I have to know more about how you've carved out your aesthetic for both your blog and your different works!

I love how uniform all your fic directories are and how they all coincide together, but I also love seeing what you're working on because it means a new banner gets revealed! How do you go about picking the aesthetic for whatever you may be working on at that time? Is it Pinterest? Is it Unsplash? Are you plagued by visions? The world (me) wants to know!

hi, ada! thanks for the ask and sorry for how long it took me to answer. i actually loved this question so much it inspired me to update all my banners, so thank you!

i'll pop my new ones below, just because i love looking at them so much myself. i'm in a snow era right now, and it feels right (even though it is not winter where i live).

i don't really have a process for the aesthetic, but i would say that unless the fic calls for a specific design (for example: rainbow fish, (un)professional services), i go with nature themes: sea, forest, beach, space etc. are usually my go to banners! i tend to stick with simple as much as I can. I really loved the ALTA banner and it was literally plain black lol.

someone once told me that if you ever question what colours/designs go together, look what is coupled together in nature and go with that - i'm far from an artist, but that advice is so true I think!

HDFKJHSDFJK YES! thank you for taking me here!!!! I NEED to get back to some TGM fic it is so life giving.

14. Of the main characters, who is most likely to get arrested?

Look. I think I have to go with either Mav or Rooster - they both have that little fiery streak in them and they're so stubborn and don't listen to authority. In all likelihood it's probably Rooster because I think Mav would be better at not getting caught. Dark horse gonna say Bob because it would be funny lmao.

26. Strong Jake Seresin headcanons.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mf. LOVE HIM. Have so many unfounded headcanons but let's list a few:

a. I like the idea of Jake from a conservative family, but I don't necessarily subscribe to the idea of his parents being cruel and abusive. I kinda like the idea of them being a bit aloof from each other though, which is why he has no problem being away from Texas.

b. He's the only boy child and has sisters galore. Please. I cannot be swayed on this.

c. I love the idea of cowboy Jake - like this man is from Texas and wears a cowboy hat and can barrel race a horse. He can also ride other things ;)

d. I know everyone is into bratty bottom Jake but I don't subscribe. I think he goes every which way. He is a brat though. 100%.

e. Jake is an early bird. He likes to get up early. Also, he can cook. I know everyone loves the idea of Bradley cooking but I reckon Jake has it in him.

f. This is basically canon but the ORAL FIXATION IS STRONG. We know it.

14: How do you go about researching details or canon information?

I re-watch/re-read a lot (depending on the source material), and for Lone Star it often helps to google the fandom pages because they have heaps of episode-specific info! I also ask people who have been in the fandom for a while - if it's a specific question, usually someone has the answer!

For general research...well, I spend a lot of time on google/wikipedia/youtube/real estate websites, google maps/google earth. Pretty sure I'm on a bunch of watch-lists. I don't typically write about things I know nothing about (for example: art) because I never think I can do them justice. Tennis, on the other hand...

29: Are there any characters, relationships, or general character dynamics you've never written about but would like to try?

This is a really good question! I've not thought about it much...

I'd really like to try writing an outsider POV at some stage because I've never tried that. I'd also love to delve into some different Tarlos dynamics (which are kind of AU dependent and I'm tossing those up in my head).

ALTA was my first attempt at second-chance Tarlos, and I'd love to do that again but slightly different? We'll see how my 30420394890834 unwritten WIPs go!
