I GOT ONE HEADCANON THAT I HOLD EXTREMELY DEARLY TO MYSELF AND IT'S THAT,
CHOSEN IS THE ONE WHO HAS A HARDEST TIME ACCEPTING THE RELATIONSHIP
To him, he doesn't know how to label it,
More than friendship, but lovers doesn't feel right either
(In a timeline where they reunite after Showdown and work things out)
They're not enemies anymore, nor are they fully allies
They have a connection but Chosen feels guilty about it because while Dark's connection to Chosen is literally built into his code, Chosen is the one choosing to continue with it
So overall, Chosen is a fuckin' MESS when it comes to emotions and whatever the hell is going on between him and Dark
Dark on the other hand, doesn't give a shit
While Chosen feels guilty, Dark feels comforted by their built in connection
He doesn't care what they are, friend, enemy, something in-between, as long as there's SOMETHING there
Sure he doesn't have to follow his code (and trust me, he has his own feelings about it) but he's choosing to and frankly, he doesn't know why Chosen makes such a big deal over it
