The Hall of Emperors in Rome's Galleria Borghese is famous for housing Bernini's "The Rape of Proserpina" at its center, along with 18 porphyry and alabaster busts of the Twelve Caesars and other ancient figures from the 17th century.

Giuliano Finelli carved this portrait of Cardinal Scipione Borghese in 1631–32. The irregular buttons, loose cord, and slightly open mouth make the bust feel less like a formal monument and more like a captured moment.
