#also bread #sweet bread hahaha #it was a disaster at first y’all 😭#first i forgot the milk on the stove and it started boiling #the milk shouldn’t be too hot cause of the yeast so i had to redo it and drank the other one #then i looked at the last instant yeast we had and saw it excited back in may #expired*#thank god i bought fresh yeast cubes yesterday 😭#then #bruh #then i added everything #kneat the dough #left it so it can rest and rise #but then i remembered that i forgot to add butter in it #so i repeated everything #was scared the yeast didn’t properly develop but you guysssss #subhanAllah they rose so perfectly wow ma sha Allah #with the first dough i made bread out of it and it turned out so nicely #and the cinnamon rolls are chilling rn so i can put the frosting on top in a few minutes #they’re so good #i’m proud of myself 😭#ok done with yapping

NaClYoHo Day 13 - with extra pictures from my life! (non-Salty Pirate stuff behind the cut.)

So, today was the tchotchki shelf!

I used to call it the Useless Shelf, but that made Clementine Partner sad. The tchotchki shelf is designed for anything functionally useless, but still desirable to keep, largely for looking at purposes, so those things can be displayed. Things like:

- dozens of pieces of origami - teeny statues - the toy from inside a kinder egg - dried flowers - my shofar - pretty rocks - tiny jars - a taxidermized duckling - a pez dispenser - two tiny rubix cubes - gay cross stitch - ...and more

It really just needed to be dusted and tidied a bit - it has no order, by nature, and is just there to have small things placed on it! Clementine Partner did most of the work while I flopped on the floor and occasionally provided an opinion. So left is before and right is after. Not very different if you don’t live here, but I’m glad it’s cleaner!
