What my equally anonymous companion meant to say was what do you do besides fight? Are you here to encourage people to learn more about technology and take better care of their machines to live in harmony? Is there an element you represent, like dino guts or the shine of creativity? Imagine what an opening blurb will sound to us in the public: "The Agency seeks to exploit organic and electronic beings alike under the pretense of providing jobs, crushing everyone's capability for the "Infinite Programming," the mind's power to dream and make incredible new choices. Only the courageous machines who have developed their own beliefs can save our future...!"

This gives the AI some pause. What were they here for? What was the direction here? And the realization sinks in - they'd been so wrapped in trying figure out who they are for themselves that they had not considered who they could be for others around them.

And is that not just selfish when they had proclaimed themselves to be superheroes? Not that they necessarily needed to go with the superhero angle just to help people.
