Sharks and tonic immobility
A few seconds ago, I have been introduced to the concept of 'tonic immobility' in sharks
Apparently, sometimes, sharks enter a state called tonic immobility in which they are floating on their back (belly up) and go into an almost sleep like state
Their senses work to the minimum and their vital signs are normal.
This state can be induced by man or done by sharks themselves (see: brown shy sharks that induce it to themselves when they feel in danger or if something bothers them, or even taurus sharks that use it for mating purposes)
People can induce it by caressing the shark's nuzzle (which will overwhelm it's senses and put the shark in this state) and then if you touch the shark's eyes or brachial thingy the shark will "wake up" 😃
