So that poem edit got me thinking and I didn’t know if you were still doing blurbs but I could totally see will with a poet as a s/o!! I think his character would find a lot of comfort in poetry

yes i agree! will x poet!reader is officially my new favourite thing🥺 i feel like if he was with a poet, finding out that you wrote poetry helped him a lot. he’d like to read them as a source of comfort or to calm down, or even better - he’d love for you to read them to him. the poetic words along with your soothing voice would play a huge role in his recovery from all the horrors he’s had to witness, and he couldn’t be more thankful for you. he’d be so grateful for your poetry, and you’d have no idea it would help him this much, as you wrote the poems in your spare time for your own personal reasons.

he’d also definitely ask to keep one of the poems, for when he’s not with you. maybe a love poem, if you wrote those, as he preferred hearing any war related ones by being read aloud by you - he used it a form of therapy, almost. so you decided to write one with him in mind. you put your whole heart and soul into it, meaning every word, as the love you had for will was too much to even measure. and he’d then cherish it forever, having it with him almost everywhere he goes. he didn’t show it off to other people, either. he kept it to himself, as it was something so special and meaningful for just the two of you <3
