He doesn’t know why, but something about the comment unsettles him. Be it the tone, or the wording, Fugaku looks to his lover with a guarded expression. “…my father’s eyes,” he replies carefully. “…eyes like these see more than they should.” His eyes are weapons. Something he used to fear about himself, but has come to accept. Plain orbs of black are one thing…but whether it be tomoe in a sea of blood, or mocking flowers, the shades of red still don’t feel like him when he sees them in the mirror. “…nevertheless…I’ll take it as a compliment,” he finishes dryly, managing a smile.
