While I’m not a massive fan of Prime Video, I do struggle to think of anything the platform itself has done wrong (granted, I don’t pay attention to it much). My issue is less “Oh, great, they’re going to alter every part of the show to make it more profitable / cancel the show for a tax write-off” and more “Oh, great, ANOTHER thing I need to give Amazon money for.”
Yeah, I think that's one of the reasons that the whole 'Battle for Who Gets Hazbin' was so indecisive among speculators because:
Netflix: Will greenlight literally everything but cancel 80% of those greenlights before production and will cancel 75% of those after the first season because of 'low-viewership numbers'
Max: Will dangle continuations/reboots of CN and Warner Bros IPs in your face while kicking any new/off-beat acquisitions and holdings into a pit labeled 'Tax Write-Offs'
Paramount+: Literally who?!
Prime Video: They have Invincible, and*...
*Disclaimer: I know that Prime Video has other original animation but fuck me if I could tell you another one that was as much of a hit as Invincible
