i was thinking at work about how in books there’s always someone standing in the way of a potential power couple or an empowered female lead slaying and ngl chances are it’s gonna be a white boy, that’s why i was just thinking about the whole concept n the phrase “white boy in the way” just came into my head n now i cant stop saying cause istg when it comes to a female empowered main lead trying to be powerful or two of your faves abt to get together in a novel there is somehow always a wbitw like….. LMAO
