If anybody knows somebody who could help me add alt text to my art or if I could do some sort of trade with someone for it, hit me up? I would absolutely pay but I have no budget for it atm. I have a hard time describing my art for alt text but I still want my art to be accessible.
(For context: this is referring to the Florida "Don't Say Gay" Bill)
This is fucking heartbreaking.
I just want to exist without being seen as something inherently sexual or dirty. My identity is not something that needs to be fucking shielded from.
Looking for advice on Alt Text!!
I’m trying to make my art and social media accessible but I struggle with writing alt text. I feel like I get too wordy and I don’t know what is or isn’t important especially when it comes to describing my art. I promised myself I wouldn’t post anything on Bluesky or Instagram without alt text when I started using them again last month (working towards tumblr) so if anyone has advice or suggestions I would love to hear it.
My insta is @kiet_st_creations and Bluesky is @stradakiev.bsky.social if you want to see what they currently look like.
is there a way to read alt text on mobile? or tell if an image has any?
and, similar and related question: why do people write "id in alt" on the posts where they have written alt text? should i be doing that?
does anyone here know if the new and updated alt text function for images is better than just appending it directly under the images like how ive been doing it so far?
