i talked to my doctor about switching from testosterone gel to injections and he said yes, plus he's upping my dose! on Nov 25th, I get my first injection. im absolutely terrified, but so ready.
when I was a baby trans at 16, I was so positive I would never do injections because I was so terrified of needles. to be honest, I still am. I'm slowly getting used to them due to having to get blood work done often, but I'm still scared. but now at 24 I'm doing it anyway because it's what's right for me, what'll make me happy, what'll help me.
if you're a young trans boy and you're afraid of hrt for the needles... just give it time. there are other options for HRT like gel or patches. you don't need to do injections immediately. you can work up to it, if that's even something you want. which it doesn't have to be. injections aren't the only answer. transition at your own pace and do what's best for you, your body, and your mental health. you got this, lil bro.
