Oh God I was so sick all night my head filled up with concrete I took Zofran i took ibuprofen i inhaled things i drank gallons i peed every 12 seconds ok I'm up it's 5am fuck fuck can I eat? OK uhhhh maybe I can just get a little hike in.

Up and down and up and ok I need to find the better picture of the monkshood but anyway: wildflowers not at peak but still beautiful fields of yellow & blue. Walked down a creek bed to the old industrial waste site I mean uh picturesque abandoned mine. Sat in a mosquito field for a while to record birds. I am fond of the female? mosquito demurely supping on watercress flowers (white, above). Trotted quite fast back to camp, maybe 200' elev loss and gain? But so. Winded. Then took "ghost" photos as the loud bright moon came out. None very good this time. I was starting to get a bad headache & nausea. Here is my note to my slack re my merlin recordings and apparently everything else between 7/15 and 8/1 being deleted! All my rock wrens. Hawks, meadowlarks. Meadowlarks! :(
