This year's Lenten season gives me an unexplainable meaning to reflect on. I don't know exactly what He wants me to learn. Recently, I ask Him why? I told Him I'm tired of everything. But God speaks through people I didn't expect. Starts with a simple "kumusta" then words of affirmation and of wisdom which result to motivation and encouragement. In apostolate activities, it is normal to expect but reality speaks that we cannot expect the same level of commitment to one another. In life, expectations sometimes lead to disappointment. When I actually said I'm tired, an spiritual advisor turns my dryness to hope through phrases such as "Di naman dumadanak ang dugo mo susuko ka na? Si Kristo nga grabe ang pagpapakasakit tapos ikaw susuko na?" These enlightened me. What we have sacrificed in serving our Lord is nothing compared to what He has done. Sometimes we keep on complaining on such things, we look on the flaws of others, we count the cost, the sacrifices and so on and so forth. But committing ourselves to follow Christ is to be like Christ, unconditional. As one of the priests preached, "Serve without counting the cost, be like Christ!" YES, MAHIRAP. You'll definitely hear unpleasant words or different interpretations. Indeed, it is a challenge of how persistent a servant can be. The Lord sees everything in what we do and He knows everything. "Siya na ang bahalang magbalik sayo ng gantimpala at blessing, manalig ka lang"-Fr. Sammy Thank You for teaching and showing me how. God moves in mysterious ways. #Lent #altarofrepose
