Asking for some prayers atm. I'm working 30 hrs/week plus doing FT schooling for a BA in Sociology. I also am primary caregiver for my younger sister (in her 30s) who is developmentally disabled. This semester has been especially challenging for me as I have ADHD, am extremely burnt out but cannot afford to take more than a day off here and there, and I can't get coursework done when my sister is home from her day program. I also work late into the evening, so Im exhausted by the time I get home. My sister has been sick and will be home all week, I have an online exam to write by Friday night, and end-of-term papers and assignments are piling up on me. Pray for my ability to endure these times of stress, if you will! 🙏

Look with pity, O Heavenly Father, upon the people in this land who live with injustice, terror, disease, and death as their constant companions. Have mercy upon us. Help us to eliminate our cruelty to these our neighbours. Strengthen those who spend their lives establishing equal protection of the law and equal opportunities for all. And grant that everyone of us may enjoy a fair portion of the riches of this land;

Today is the Feast of the Holy Innocents, the day on which the church remembers the children slaughtered by Herod in his search for Jesus. Pray for all innocent children who suffer and parents who mourn the loss of their children.
