This reminded me! I meant to ask you about Gotham and Alfred saying he would teach master Bruce to fight. What do you think about that? I was pretty stoked and think it’s a good idea for the show. They seem to play him a bit gruffer & I’m enjoying it
When Gotham first started I didn't like how abrasive and gruff Alfred was, but now that he's become a lot less harsh towards Bruce (which makes sense if it was due to his grief and frustration over the Waynes' murder and being unexpectedly thrust into the role of guardian) I'm really digging it. I think I'll always prefer Alfred to be prim and proper, but I'm no longer totally opposed to Gotham's more rough-and-tumble version.
I think him teaching Bruce how to fight could actually end up being a nice ~bonding moment for them. It's becoming more and more apparent that Alfred loves Bruce--he just shows it in a slightly odd way, like instructing Bruce to beat up his bully and then rewarding him with pizza, haha.
