As for your first spell, perhaps it should a simple blessing! Like blessing a necklace or blessing a notebook you want to write in for your pagan work. It is a very basic spell that takes very little to gather for ingredients and takes only a few moments of your time. It’s good to start off small with these things and build your way up to the top! Constructing an alter can be a very stressful thing tbh. But for the longest time I didn’t have an alter because I was afraid my mother would beat me over the head with a crucifix and pray the pagan away but that was also me being INCREDIBLY paranoid but nonetheless!
Your alter is simply that: Your Alter. You shouldn’t let anyone tell you what should or shouldn’t be there. It is YOUR alter. It can be outside, it can be indoors, it can be huge, it can be tiny. What matters is is that it is YOURS! You can put anything you want on it! Like flowers, gems, stones, herbs, things you have made, offerings for deities, even things based on the seasons or what time of year it is. Literally it can be anything you want!
You could use a little end table for your alter! Or make room on a book case! Clear a shelf or if you can’t have it be visible You could always have it be in a cabinet or even in a drawer. I hid mine under my bed tbh. I also had one outside which is awesome!! Your options are limitless and I cannot wait to see what you come up with!! If you have any more questions just ask!
