I think “kinning for fun” is actually ok & i dont think it actually has to detract from the serious kinning experience. I fully understand the history of it, I fully understand why it has hurt some- but I also think that fighting the concept of “kinning for fun” is going to just stall progression for “serious” kinship in more general society

if you want someone to talk about your specific type, YOU do it. you can’t expect everyone else to create content for you. it is not our fault there are a lot of us, and there is no such thing as too much representation

I'm a wild beast and yet I don't think I ever could separate myself from humans I love them so much. I hardly interact with other alterbeings (mostly because I can't blow my cover in such a public space) but when I see misanthropy getting spread around it breaks my heart and makes me wanna stay away more I swear there's more good humans than bad ones. I've met plenty of terrible people before but I've met even MORE nice and kind folks who make others' days better. I've had to deal some misanthropic feelings myself due to unresolved trauma in the past and realizing that humanity is not evil made my life better. I love humans even if I am not one of them

To the misanthrope anon: misanthropy is a perfectly logical and valid position to take once you've had your eyes opened to general human nature. Humans are awful in a lot of ways and you don't need anyone's permission to dislike or mistrust them. (And calling it a "white supremacist" position when it applies to ALL of humanity? I wish better critical thinking skills on these "Everything I hate is n*zism" anons who replied to you.) I'm a misanthrope as well for these reasons, though I meet humans now and then who are decent enough and who I grow to like. But the few exceptions to the rule do not negate the rule.

Furthermore, misanthropy does not necessarily lead to violence or even treating people poorly. I'm respectful to everyone who is respectful to me (and to many who aren't) and I am never violent toward a soul. The really vile people I've met who had NO restraint regarding how they treat people were the ones who would never identify as a misanthrope; and incidentally, it's people like that who contributed to my misanthropy through their treatment of me.

While we are not entitled to TREAT people any any way we please, we are certainly entitled to hold whatever opinion toward people that we please. You're not engaging in "wrongthink" by being a misanthrope; you're reacting with a normal mistrust and aversion to the dominant species on this planet which goes around mindlessly destroying everyone and everything. Don't let anyone gaslight you out of your common sense. Let your misanthropy take you to a place of finally really not caring about the approval of others.

i love humans the way a dog loves humans. i like relationships with humans because i am entirely canine, and have a deep connection with humans. i prefer relationships with humans (dog4human anyone?) and like thinking of my partner(s) like owners rather than mates. my mate can never be human, but my owner can!
