I've been working out a lot in the morning, and it feels good! Lots of friends have been empowering each other to get in shape, and I'm into it! But I also have some problems getting fit in traditional ways, like a lot of other people do. Here are some ways I have learned to enjoy exercise instead of having to use my willpower to get through it~~~
It is so much easier to work out on a yoga mat or soft folded blankie in your room than it is to pack up and drive to the gym. I get self conscious at the gym a lot, especially since I am currently restarting and am unhealthily weak. Being alone makes it a lot easier. Plus you can very easily incorporate it into your morning since it only requires 20-30 minutes, no drive time!
Stationary cardio also works nicely for when you want to work out in your room, and there are a lot of options to choose from even if you don't have a treadmill or other cardio machine. Jumping jacks or just dancing around to good music have worked best for me. You can find lots of other ways to get your cardio in one place online, along with all sorts of workout combo videos if you're into those!
I've also discovered that exercise becomes easier for me if I do list workouts instead of timed ones. You just make a list of reps you want to do of one exercise instead of how long you want to do it for. I always end up working out for a decent amount of time, but I don't feel like I'm waiting and straining according to the clock. I like the feeling of control over when I get done and how quickly I go. This definitely has made exercise more appealing to me. I even end up doing more than I planned sometimes because I feel so inspired.
That's all I have so far. Hopefully it makes things easier on someone else, too. This probably won't reach too many people but you never know!
