A return to the sea. To decompress. Mother Ocean. Take a dog. He knows how to live in the moment. It's winter. New Zealand. Walking with dog and camera, playing it by feeling. Later - Night and falling asleep to the sound of winter waves rolling, roaring in. The next day, replacing the dog with a backpack and a camera that requires attention. More walking. The storm is easing. I think I might be happier now. The camera that requires attention helps me live in the moment, until the moment I'm caught by the incoming tide and inundated. I hear laughter. I turn back to the shore. There's a woman in the dunes with a dog. She's laughing. I hear other laughter too. It is my own.
