Well well well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions

No jk, I do have an answer for this

1. I am not against Sylki, I'm just mad about how the show handled it. All negatives feelings I have to them is connected to the show's poor (or lack of) representation of bisexual and gender fluid people. They mistook gender fluid for genderbend and their promise of Loki having a female and male love interest was just a joke about selfcest (EDIT: I was mistaken on this part,they did not promise that,it was a rumour). As a bisexual and gender fluid person, I felt hurt by it and can't help feeling bitter when I think of it.

But the ship itself? I could not care less about selfcest, if you've been through my blog you'd know I ship weird shit too, like, I dare say weirder. I could never be against a ship or people shipping them because it goes against what I stand for, even if it's my NOTP, it is not my business what people ship and I expect people to reciprocate.

2. I understand the comparisons between Sylki and MarcSteven because I thought of them as the same at first, which is why I didn't want to ship it at first. Because I didn't know anything about DID I thought of them as the same person and considered it selfcest. But I did some research and talked to a few people with DID and turns out I was wrong. Marc and Steven are not the same person, and it is possible for people to develop romantic relationships with alters. If it should be compared to another ship, we could use Symbrock as example, two individuals on the same body. So I gave the ship a chance and I went from finding it weird/possibly offensive to cute, so yes, I ship them now. I think you're allowed to dislike it, but please don't go around calling it selfcest without doing research about it

3. Yes, of course I wanted Lokius to be endgame, the chemistry the representation everything was there and I hated the direction they took, but that has nothing to do with how I feel about Sylki, I have made it clear that while I hated what happened I was happy for the shippers that won, like I said, ship and let ship, I don't care.

Tl; Dr: I'm not against Sylki, MarcSteven is not selfcest (it's not even problematic), alters can date each other, Lokius should have been endgame but since when do we care about canon

so , we know that after Marc and Steven leave Khonshu , they become co-conscious yea ?

i like to think that Marc just couldn't handle the thought of Steven not being around [re: to ep 5 when he was in the psychiatric facility in his mind and he couldn't see/hear Steven in the mirror] so he allows Steven to remain partly aware , and Steven loves it too , because he feels less alone , he loves having Marc around especially now that he's more forthcoming

which makes me think back to the scene in the Duat , Marc gives Steven his literal and metaphorical heart and the speech and Steven thinks its cheesy but he loves it all the same

i imagine Steven brings it up every now and then when they're sitting in their apartment , Steven with a cup of tea , and Marc resting a hand on their knee , just running his thumb across it .

They're riffing and Marc is embarrassed but he's so happy to hear and feel how happy Steven is.

They take turns feeding their fish ! Maybe they have a chores chart for it ?

They decide to fit in a couple of floor length mirror around the place , a few just vertically placed on walls, one placed horizontally against the bed

They don't rely on the mirrors a lot because they are co-conscious and just talk to each other when they want to but it's nice to see each other in these mirrors

Marc's love language being physical touch and so he traces their fingers along their hands and lips and smiles when he feels Steven falter and his voice gets high cause he's embarrassed idk

Steven buying Marc cool new clothes 'cause he thinks Marc will look handsome in them
