As you clutched the edge of the counter, trying to steady your nerves, your eyes wandered to the table near the window where your diary's lay open. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at it—no, you wouldn’t. Not yet.

But you knew what was inside. She’d found it. Your old, leather-bound diary. The one you’d kept all those years, scribbling in it as you traveled the world with Chroma Dolls, your band, your family, your life before all of this. You and your bandmates—Emma and Stella, they were still your best friends, your sisters—had lived in the fast lane, and during those wild, late nights on tour, you had crossed paths with a few men who had left lasting marks. In the back of your mind, you had hoped that Aurora would never discover their names. But she had.

The truth was, you had no idea who her father was. You had been young and reckless, trying to escape the pressures of fame. Those nights were a blur—memories stitched together by the sound of music and passion. You had loved them all in some way, each one of them leaving something behind. But now, all eight of them had returned to your life, and the timing couldn’t have been worse.

Aurora had invited them all. All eight men. She thought that, by some miracle, she’d be able to recognize her father when she saw him. Or maybe she believed the sight of them together would unlock a memory, something that would give her the clarity she so desperately sought. But you weren’t sure if you could handle this. Not now. Not when everything was supposed to be about her—her big day, her future.

And yet, as you watched her dance around the hotel lobby with Emma and Stella, excitement and nerves shimmering in her eyes, you couldn’t help but feel the weight of what was about to happen.

"Mom?" Aurora’s voice broke through your spiral of thoughts. You looked up to find her standing at the doorway, dressed in a simple yet elegant white gown, her face glowing with excitement.

There she was, your daughter, your pride. But at that moment, she wasn’t just your daughter. She was the woman who might have to confront the truth about her father. Your secret was finally out, and you were terrified of what might happen next.

Aurora walked over to you, her eyes shining with hope. “I’ll know him, Mom. When I see him, I’ll know. He’ll be the one who walks me down the aisle.”

You weren’t sure if she was being naive or if, by some miracle, she truly could pick out the right one. But the thought of it made your heart twist. After all these years, could you really face those men again? The ones who had once shared your bed, your heart, your life?
