Efterklang album covers

I think, that creating a cover for a music album is an art. Moreover, a special art. I think this is closest to the book illustration. When it is important to feel, immerse yourself in someone else’s creation to create your own.

I have always noted how the album cover looks. In my head, music is often associated with visuals, sometimes I even characterize songs / bands by color combination)). And if I listen to a song on the phone, and on the splash screen, the album cover, which doesn’t match anything at all, annoying me. Ideally, of course, so that the cover matches exactly my perception, this rarely happens. And sometimes the cover itself dictates the perception of music. Partly, of course. About 8 years ago, I even wanted to do cover art for beginner musicial groups. Because I was upset when the music is good, but the picture is not. It remained a dream.

But there was a group that I liked everything about. Efterklang. They work with Hvass & Hannibal design studio. 10 years ago it was the album “Magic chairs”, in 2019 - “Altid Sammen”. Two covers, which are so different, are at the same time stylistically and even in the composition are similar. Combinations of flat and three-dimensional. I think, there are references to metaphysical painting. So much air in them. Like in the music of Efterklang.

I like this music, I like this cover (of which more will write separately). I love this group. And how I missed the release of this album!
