(house of suns spoilers ahead)
I had another idea where Valkriis’s adopted Eliksni brother, Altydr (who despite being very peaceful and having the same intentions as Misraaks is killed by guardians), comes back as a guardian, and a lot of the beginning time of his rebirth is spent trying to backtrack his life and figure out where he actually came from.
Eventually he IS able to find his way home, and the still existing members of House Suns that recognize him are just, experiencing all kinds of mixed emotions, mostly of awe, shock and happiness, and he gets to reunite with mother Phathros and sister Valkriis... and it’s just. Really nice.
