Okay so first off, let me say that Bruenor is making me SAD. Like, again, Salvatore is amazing at writing grief, and that continues into this book. The way Wulfgar's death is affecting him is so. fracking. depressing. And, As Catti-Brie puts it, "Bruenor's fire, like the one in the hearth, had played itself to its end."
Like ok. Wow. I'm sobbing.
And speaking of Catti!! She is and always will be my favorite. Like she's so strong and such a girlboss! Though the part where she beat up Regis for information was like. Girl please chill he is small and will break easily.
Another thing I loved was Cattie-Brie and Alustriel together. Like she's obviously jealous that Alustriel is in love with Drizzt (bc OF COURSE she is same girl same) And I was waiting for them to cat fight over him. It never happened, but I can feel it. SOON WE SHALL HAVE A PETTY WHITE GIRL FIGHT!!
And greaaaaaat, Artemis is FREAKING ALIVE. Look, I love him, but his plot armor is insane. AND HE'S NOT EVEN HOT ANYMORE!!!!!!!
But whatever. Reading more of Jarlaxle makes me happy, and I am sated for now.
Also Drizzt I love you but don't do this. It won't end well for you and now you've dragged your girlfriends into it. He's just slowly acquiring a harem- Catti, Alustriel, Jarlaxle probably, Artemis... the list goes on. Or maybe I just have an impulse to ship him with everyone. Either way, he's quite shippable so you can't blame me.
Ok and the most serious part of this. Catti-Brie being FIVE INCHES taller than Drizzt. That. right there. is hilarious.

Milky way-What was the inspiration behind your OC? What was the first thing you decided about them?
-My biggest inspiration was the book series The forgotten realms. And I fell in love with the name of one elven queen. And so I named my OC Alustriel after her. My main blog first I ever had here carry her name. At first that was that. I had many ideas for her, but still kept her wip. Till I decided to give it a go and push her into Naruto's world(thanks to @itachi-anon ). That was the first big decision I made for her.-
I have been scouring the internet for several weeks now to find a fanfiction I read quite some time ago. I cannot remember it's name but I know it was on an independent site (I have checked AO3 and Fanfiction.net just in case).
Just started college a few weeks ago and now I'm known for my killer tat designs. Sorry my website is down I'm going to work on that eventually. Thanks for all the support!

An absolutely amazing book! this might be my favorite in the whole saga so far!
Okay, this book was great. The writing was beautiful, it was jam-packed with action, and my favorites had so many badass moments I didn't even mind the minimal amount of Jarlaxle and Gromph page time!
There was just so much growth! Watching Bruenor finally lay his guilt for Wulfgar down and seeing Regis become braver in the face of danger was amazing! And all those emotional scenes, man! I hated Besnell, but when he died I almost started crying. Salvatore creates such beautiful arcs for all of his characters, even minor ones, and watching Berkthgar mature through the war was just as heartwarming as watching any of the main cast overcome their obstacles.
And yay, Matron Baenre is FINALLY dead, so that's nice. And the deep gnomes are in Mithral Hall now! Belwar and Firble have long been favorites of mine, so I'm super excited to read even more of them now that they're allied with Bruenor's clan.
As sad as I am to see the party split again, I'm excited. Catti and Drizzt travelling alone should not only be plenty of fun, but I may finally get my romance! I can't wait to see where Salvatore puts them in Passage to Dawn.
All in all, it was a great book, and one I'll cherish for a while. There was so much development and raw emotion in the span of less than 300 pages. I'll never get how good ol' Bob does it, but I sure am glad that he does.
