I’ll just go with it from them X-men verse, otherwise, it might be a bit weird ;w; ))Her heart was pounding so fast in her chest it felt like it was just about ready to burst out. She felt horrible shortness of breath. Her cheeks were burning and she was sure her legs had turned into jelly and that she was only keeping herself standing through the sheer force of will. Why did they have to play truth or dare!? WHY!? Why had someone dared her to kiss Lance?! Was her body shaking? Oh lord! It was! She couldn’t look him in the eyes when she kissed him it would just be weird! She had long dreamt about kissing him and now it was finally going to happen, but, it was not supposed to be like this. She had imagined a cute date. 

This was cruel, they had only done this because they knew how she felt about Lance and it only made it worse! Trembling hands cupped his face. It had not been too long ago he had shaved, the subtle prickling of his stubbles against her fingers made that clear. He was so close to her and she was sure she was going to faint! Gosh... he smelled so nice...

Maddy swallowed hard before placing a kiss on his lips. Her eyes were tightly closed as she was sure she felt her heart skip a beat. It might only have lasted a few seconds but she was sure it was an eternity. When it was all over and done, her face was bright red but worse was that she was losing control over her powers. The sheer embarrassment over having to do this was radiating off of her and into others around her. The girl quickly got up and ran towards the door. She needed air! She was suffocating!!

                    She didn’t know what she was thinking when she invited Lance along for the ride, but their stop at a nearby space port was proving a challenge. Gwen couldn’t blame those she took on her adventures around the cosmos for being curious and excited, if they had never been into space before things could be a bit overwhelming, both in a positive and negative light, but that meant she had to be vigilant about making sure her ‘ companions ’ were both well behaved and safe from things that were unfamiliar to them.

                    ❝Please don’t.❞ Gwen was quick to to pluck the item he had picked up while browsing one of the vendors on the strip, gently placing it down while offering a polite smile to the disgruntled seller before pushing Lance away with one hand. ❝Be careful if you plan on buying anything, lots of folks out here will take advantage of humans because technically we haven’t entered the age of intergalactic relations so they view us as pretty primitive and stupid.❞ she paused briefly, lowering her hand from him.  ❝Actually, if you plan on bringing a souvenir back just run it by me first, I don’t need you to accidentally buy something that could wipe out all existence. It happens.❞

“You can’t just forbid me from having a job.” Charlie’s hands were on the straps of his backpack as he walked, having mostly ignored Lance since seeing him in the store and waving off concerns from his coworkers asking if they needed him to call someone to make sure he got home safe. He was not giving Lance the satisfaction of lecturing him while actually driving him home. No sir. Charlie was simply going to walk home, as per usual, and make Lance keep pace in the jeep.

“And you weren’t complaining when I was able to help with the fucking bills! The only reason you’re mad is cause you found out cause Scott. And the only reason I accepted the ride from him is cause it was cold and he’d pulled over right in my way and actually swore at me to get in the damn car.”

“You wanna know the worst part about being dead?” Lance probably didn’t but Peter was going to tell him anyways. It made for good dinner conversation. “You can’t eat! I miss hot dogs man.” He glanced mournfully at Lance’s dinner plate. It smelled SO GOOD.

“I mean you can bring down a whole deer when it’s that time of the month and what do I get? I can make lights flicker, that’s what I can do. I miss food.” He’s NOT whining (he’s totally whining.)

random headcannon: Lance can pick Todd up by the back of his shirt and besides Fred, is the only one who does not get slimmed for it. Todd just crosses his arms and kinda curls up and resembles a pouting kitten.

       “Hey! I saw what you did to the ground! You split it right in half...I thought it was an earthquake but--you--you’re the one that caused it. You’re some kind of meta-human aren’t you?”

Years had passed since he had come back here. Now in his twenties, after avoiding it, after doing the things that would have horrified him as the teenager that had lived here, he was coming back. Perhaps that was the reason, or one of them, that when he stepped out of the sleek black Jeep and onto the main street of Bayville, he felt a strange mix of heartache and longing beneath the veneer of calm.

"Remember what you're here for, Martyr." The three voices in his mind rang in his ears as if they had physically spoken before he left. Though they had been kind, he sensed beneath his and the Inner Circle's three queens alliance lay a threat: they could make his new name literal.

But as he walked down the street dressed in a fashionable but still casual outfit, looking around at the shops and bars that lined the street, forgoing the car for his own two legs, he was consumed by a sense of bubbling nostalgia that he tried to squish down. Trinity was clad in mostly black, wearing a turtleneck sweater and matching pants. He used to wear more color...but that was before. Before the X-Men had dissolved, before everything had changed; before he had been thought dead, and before he had stained his own hands with blood. It was a step in some direction, some would say forgivable because the target had been a known anti-mutant leader.

Even as he walked, he remembered. Those mismatched eyes looked over at the street as he crossed it to get to a bar, a certain bar. Trinity could almost feel the old Jeep's passenger seat against his back, could hear the music they had been listening to like someone was playing it from a distant room.

He swallowed before he walked into the bar, glancing at the reflection in the window. Trinity glanced at his hair, permanently white now; he knew that Lance might remember that it was only in those first days, when he had first walked into Bayville High, before the natural black became ever growing streaks amongst the shocked white, that his hair had looked like this.

Trinity let go of the breath when he opened the door and saw him immeadiately. Whether by some coincidence or fate, there was Lance, right there. His heart warmed, eyes softened despite everything, his feet moved towards the spot where he sat, sipping on beer. And Trinity"s mouth opened, the words forming on his lips faster than he could think them as he sat down next to the earthshaker.

And for just a moment, he was a teenager again. "Still drinking the same beer, Lance?"
