"Chase" Henry/Abraham, a century
Warning: Maybe seem dub-conish, but I don't think it is.
Henry/Abraham, a century of flight and pursuit.
Terrible Maybe: This, I'm sleepy and I'm not entirely happy with this, it's somewhat jarring but as is, it's somewhat A Fic, I could keep this post around as it, but I will be cheap enough to recycle bits of it into (hopefully) better fics later on!
Chase
The world changed till it could not be recognized, till it had no need of him, but Henry always did. It did not matter that he had already belonged to Henry for years and years and years, or that he was still plain - Henry wanted him still, and happily indulged him, spoilt him really. The one thing that Henry would never do for Abraham, was let go.
Sometimes, when they were in the cities that Henry preferred, claustrophobia would rise up and fill Abraham's throat till he choked. He could bear no one's company then, not even Henry's, not especially Henry. Henry was too much. Overwhelmed, he would feel as though he was still new, a century smaller, no match at all for Henry's wants of him, he fears that he would be consumed by his lover's desires and designs - till there was nothing left that would still be him.
He always felt conflicted when he found signs of Henry following him when he had hurried off to take a leave alone. His heart goes wild within his chest and he felt like prey. Time after time Abraham would start to run, lead his maker, his master, on a chase through America, Europe, through the entire world. He would strain to break free, yet long to be caught.
Abraham sailed across the seas, unafraid and finding peace in the beauty of her turbulent storms. The loud thunder that shook him to the bone, the blinding flash of lighting that heralded its boom. He slept on the deck when it rained, when surging waves would reach up and grasp and tug at his lone ship, promising to pull him under. He flirts, for his heart was gladdened when he saw shore again.
He was the watcher now, some nights, speedily and stealthily circling a city brimming with distracting people, watching Henry's head turn at the center of the crowd, trying to sniff him out. He leapt across roottops and chasms, scaled walls and cliffs, eluding his pursuer by a hair's breath. He could put up a fight too, break free of holds as he had been taught, push his pursuer back across a forest clearing, run again as fractured bones heal as rapidly as they had been broken - he was powerful.
He was desired, kissed sweetly when Henry wins, and it was alright,to surrender to Henry as he would never surrender to anyone else. Henry had his permission.

Reblogging: please do not repost this fic (what's under the read more cut)
AN: I was editing "Persephone" to add some thing to the following lines, "But he was loved / And he was in love / So he always comes bacK", still not sure if I should have left it alone, but then I had two paragraphs break off and became Henry chasing Abraham, a different direction and a separate fic was born.
...and listen to this song:
B4-4 - "Ball & Chain"
I just want to be your ball and chain Wrapped around your finger Locked up, tie me down Follow you forever Never let you get away Holding on like a ball and chain (Boy, be my ball and chain Yo it's gotta be right) I never wanted to stay In one place too long On no, not me, I didn't want to be A victim of that fatal touch When you want someone too much - but You, you'll be the end of me And I don't want to run anymore (( chorus )) I just want to be your ball and chain Wrapped around your finger Locked up, tie me down Follow you forever Never let you get away Holding on like a ball and chain I tried my best to avoid Making promises Oh no, not me, I didn't want to Be a prisoner of that tender trap When there's no turning back - but You, you got me on my knees And I won't be afraid anymore (( chorus )) (( rap )) Uh, what... I know it's been some time Confine - to be alone But now I know I've found the one It's gotta be this love jones You know that I get open when you rub on my back The goosebumps and the chills must be proof of that 'Cause I'm feelin' When you dealin' All the knowledge you've got About makin' it good When you're touchin' my spots I got - lots of luvin' when we bubblin' right I look forward to the time when the day turns night Yo I say meet at the crib at a quarter to nine And at that time what do I find? (And I won't be afraid anymore) The sight of you be wantin' me Just hauntin' my fight Boy, be my ball and chain Yo it's gotta be right I can't believe I'm holding on... ---
