if you're still doing it... 16, 30, 34, 36, 46 :)
Yoooo, always Danielle! <3
16. How many drafts do you need until you’re satisfied with a project?
I don’t really draft as such but I leave gaps to fill. So like I’ll write something and leave an xxxxunpack thisxxxxxxx or xxxxxxmore herexxxxxxx or xxxxword that means such-and-suchxxxx. I’ve never completely rewritten anything.
30. Favourite idea you haven’t started on yet
I can’t remember if this was my idea or Riss’ but there was an idea for the Chronicles about Cricket pulling the long con on the Gang and coming out on top, somehow. It’s never gonna happen cos I’ve sowed my street rat oats now (plus I was keeping everything intertwined with canon for those stories rather than creating something 100% new), but it was a nice idea, for Cricket, anyways.
34. What was the hardest scene you ever had to write?
I actually made myself feel physically sick writing the doctor/patient scene in LSF ch. 2, mostly because I still had issues regarding the abuse of reduced-faculties Fluffwald in From Despair to Where. And Comeback Kid was really fucking difficult for obvious reasons, but I legit wanted to see if I could do it (spoiler alert: I could, yay). Also, the fucking in All His Suits Are Torn was kinda taxing because the rest of the fic came out sooo fucking easily, and for the most part my partner was seated next to me while I was uhh, plugging the hole in that fic. (He knows I write, and he knows what I write, but still it’s hard to get into the groove - especially a groove as depraved as that - when you’re not completely alone lmao.)
36. Last sentence you wrote
So, when Charlie comes with a roar bordering on a scream, Dennis swallows every single drop, knowing without a doubt that the flawless female he’s conjured up for this roleplay would do the same, a coquettish smile adorning her perfect painted lips as she does so. Good girl.
46. Do you reread your own stories?
I used to. Nowadays I’ll usually do a grammar sweep with fresh eyes a few days after posting something, but that’s generally it. I can’t see myself ever re-reading my early g*tham stuff because I’ll just cringe and bemoan how little I knew then and end up deleting it all lol.
