and if i say hockey accounts using "ship names" when it's just their numbers or easily recognizable portmanteaus is not actually a real problem with 4th wall breaking when you can tell they're just grasping for easily identifiable fandom terminology that comes from every platform including ig/twitter/tiktok... not even in a non-platonic sense SO much of the time... it's not worth panicking over. unfortunately, you will never be able to control the behavior of teenagers and what's being widely recognized and interacted with on other platforms, but there is maybe as much/if not more x reader and self insert thirsting type content on those platforms than there is rpf like. the range is wiiiide, lol
