With the color Tamagotchi’s the screen will light up for attention calls and other activities, but if you are monitoring your Tamagotchi you really need to constantly keep waking up the Tamagotchi by clicking any one of the three buttons, or on the Tamagotchi Pix series pressing the camera shutter button. Once the screen is on then you can see what exactly is going on.
