-- ✌ ❝ I can’t believe this kid. ❞ Chris sighed, putting his hands on his hips as he peered down at the open book bag beneath his son’s bed. He wasn’t sure if he was more frustrated with himself for not seeking it out sooner, or amused with Benjamin for hiding it so well. He bent down and grabbed the strap, lifting it off of the floor. Papers among papers spilled out onto the carpet. Chris quickly gathered them all in his hands, sifting through them in the process. ❝ Hangman. Hangman. Tic-Tac-Toe. More hangman. Jeez, Ben. You can’t use big words like conundrum in a game with other seven year olds. They’re never going to guess that. ❞
Just as he was about to put Ben’s book bag away for the summer, he spotted one last piece of paper at the bottom. A beautifully drawn portrait of himself and his best friend Dexter, with the words I have two dad’s written at the top. Chris couldn’t help but to laugh a little bit at the picture; taking note of the dark brown squiggles that made up Dexter’s hair. ❝ Amazing. ❞ The word bubbled from his mouth as he stood, prepared to show it off like the proud parent he was.
As he walked out of Ben’s room, through the apartment, and across the hall to Dexter’s place; he found himself stuck on the two dads aspect of it all. Chris had identified as heterosexual for the entirety of his life. Then he met Dexter and it made him question it all without actually thinking about what it meant. For the last two years; the three of them have done almost everything together. Dexter took Ben to school when Chris was working and his brother was unavailable. Dexter took Ben places just for fun. Dexter stayed for dinner. Dexter stayed the night. It was no wonder Ben saw him as another father figure. Chris was just so oblivious.
❝ Pasta! ❞ Chris shouted as he opened the door to Dexter’s apartment. It was one of the many secret words he used to identify himself upon entering so his friend didn’t take him out with a baseball bat. Sure, there are other steps he could have taken; like knocking, but that wasn’t as fun. ❝ I have something outstanding to show you, so where ever you are -- come forth. ❞ He threw himself down onto the couch, drawing in hand. ❝ Please and thank you. ❞

– ☠ Shane has always been a people watcher.
He notices everything all the time, but nobody notices him.
❝ What are you doing? ❞ He chimed from behind Harlow Avery. His voice was calm, he was smiling. ❝ I see you’ve got something in your hand. Does it belong to you? ❞ It was an old silver pocket watch with the initials ‘SBS’ carved into the back of it. His eyes fell toward it, his smirk fading. –
“You don’t deserve this watch.” Shane Byington Jr. sneered at his son, holding the watch above his head. “But for some reason, your grandfather wants you to have it.” Swinging it forward; the watch collided with Shane’s nose, causing it to pour blood. “Look – see what the fuck you did now? You got blood all over my dad’s watch!” Big hands found their way around Shane’s small frame, forcing him back into the wall. “Say it. You don’t deserve this fucking watch.”
– Without giving her much time to answer; Shane grabbed the watch out of her hand and leaned in close. ❝ It is extremely ill-mannered to take things that aren’t yours. I hope you understand this. ❞ He dropped the watch into the back pocket of his faded blue jeans. Pasting a rather eerie grin onto his face, he met Harlow’s gaze. ❝ Next time you touch my shit; I’ll shove it down your throat. ❞ He adjusted his jacket, turned on his heels, and walked away.
“I don’t deserve this fucking watch.”

[TEXT] MIKEY: I’m not sure if you meant this for me or not?
[TEXT] MIKEY: I mean, sure we have like this thing and you know I would 100% do you if that’s what you want, but I thought you had this thing with that one guy?
[TEXT] MIKEY: You know, the one from the party?
[TEXT] MIKEY: Also this isn’t fair, I’ve been drinking and fuck you’re hot dude. I wanna be cool and all and not be weird, but pretty sure I’m gonna end up using this as spank bank material. Unless that’s totally weird and uncool

📝- A memory of them getting to know/meeting my muse
Camden still remembered the firstday he saw Jamie. If ever asked, he would lie and say it was during their firstRavenclaw versus Slytherin quidditch game when he taunted and teased the boybefore scoring a few times against him, but that was a lie. Saying he first metJamie during the match was fun, but really Camden had first laid eyes on theboy during a crowded potions class. That was when he first learned Jamie’sname. The boy had been obnoxious – was still obnoxious – rambling off theproper names of things despite the groans from his follow classmates. Jamie wasa know it all and Camden was amused.
He didn’t speak much in class thatyear. Instead, he watched as Jamie would speak time and time again, sometimes withouteven being called on. The boy didn’t know when to shut up. Camden had heard ofknow-it-all Ravenclaws, but this boy honestly took the cake. For the entireyear, he would sit there at the table in the back, next to a few people hewould later on ditch because they bored him, watching Jamie’s hand shoot up. Itbecame a bit of a game to him, guessing how many times the boy would speak aclass and how many times his eager hand would be overlooked in favor of someoneelse – anyone else – to answer.
That was the real first time hehad met Jamie Black. Fast forward to fourth year when Camden was on the Slytherin team andit was the first match of the season. There again was that obnoxious boyguarding the rings as if his life depended on it and Cam couldn’t help himself.Introductions were begging to be made and who was he to deny this boy the honorof meeting Camden Forbes? It had been a simply exchange, asmirk here, a quip there, and then –
“ – it’s cute that you think youcan keep me from scoring.”
