Hi! 💜

It's not from a series (although I wouldn't mind at all if Karn were to rope Alyn into a guest role now and then lmao). It's from a MV by my favourite band/group/duo HYBS:

HYBS is Alyn Wee and Karn Kasidej (who's also an actor - you might have seen him in Grey Rainbow and Dear Doctor I'm Coming for Soul so you're not that far off) and they're the best. I change my header whenever they release a new MV because I love them so much.

So uh.. I'm going to be honest, I don't know anything about Alyn Wee or his music until I came across this video.. and I only watched it because Nodt is on the thumbnail. Lol! Youtube algorithm noticed I've been watching a lot of videos of Be On Cloud artists and gave me this.. haha.. Anyway, Alyn Wee have a very soulful voice and I enjoyed listening to his singing while watching Nodt debating with himself about wether he should make the call or not. It's sad the video does not have english subtitles but looking through the comments I learned that there are translations available online. Might look into that later :-) That said, please give the video a watch.

They're my favourite musical duo consisting of Alyn Wee (also an amazing solo artist) and Karn Kasidej (also an actor). Together they recently broke my heart by calling it quits as HYBS because the project was never be supposed to run as long as it did. 😭😭😭

At least we got some really sweet tunes out of it, like the one from my gif:

It's so funny to me how HYBS disbanded only to now basically continue making the same music as solo artists. 🤣

Granted, James' tunes are calmer and more pop-friendly, while Karn's music is all about the amazing vibes and sound.

Case in point:

I really wonder what happened there but hopefully it's just creative differences. I really, really like interesting and surprising sound design though so Karn totally got me in the shrimp divorce.

Plus, twice the amount of songs I had before. :)

The only good thing about HYBS calling it quits is that I got two amazing songs on the same day:

Karn's release has more of a typical HYBS vibe to it.

While James/Alyn is getting closer to Thai synthpop again.

I could never pick favourites so yay two shrimps cakes!
