“The Star is about hope after a disaster. After something traumatic, it’s important to remember that things can get better again. Keep your chin up and stay positive. I chose the Russian story of Sister Alyonushka and Brother Ivanushka. In the tale, the sister warns her brother not to drink from a particular water source. He doesn’t listen and is turned into a goat. Here, the Sister promises to take care of him, and by staying optimistic, is able to live a good life and eventually turn him back. More concepts and style tests for my short comic. Getting there! I'm pretty excited to start drawing it properly. I've started countless projects over the years and have a whole bunch of long term comics planned out but have yet to finish anything..
