When Alyosha first came to his office, Damocles was cautious but still very much excited about the prospect of inventing another potion that could improve the lives of so many beings. But even though it could be his next big creation, Damocles didn’t slave on it as much as he did when he was first starting to create wolfsbane. With a lot more knowledge and experience under his belt, Damocles grounded his creative process with realism and managed expectations.
That was all before he found out that his brother became a vampire. One that’s struggling to remain in control.
Damocles’ obsession with his work returned. He’s been finding himself staying awake for long hours. The potioneer haven’t had as little sleep since he perfected the wolfsbane potion. Soon enough, it paid off. Damocles estimated that it would be finished in two weeks. He let Alyosha know as soon as possible and asked for them to meet.
When he finally heard a knock on his door, Damocles himself opened the door to welcome the vampire. “Hello. Thank you for coming. I was surprised that you were able to come right away.”
