Six Sentence Sunday
Went to edit the tags and accidentally deleted the ask :X Sorry, @alysanemormont ! I had hoped to post something from harvard peeta, but it isn’t quite ready yet...maybe next week! Hopefully this will suffice. Here is a sneak peak for ch.2 of The Challenge. Scene takes place between Gale and Vick. Enjoy!

“You ever think about joining a team?” I asked, and when his eyebrows furrowed in confusion at the jump in conversation, I elaborated. “Rory has soccer, Posy dances.”
“You and football,” he muttered.
“You should give it a shot this year and try out. You’d make a good running back. Or special teams. I always thought it’d be fun to just kick the crap out of the ball--”
“Not really my thing,” he interjected, handing me the last dish. “Besides, who’d rather spend their evenings doing sports when you can have group therapy instead.”
I closed the dishwasher and leaned against the back of the sink casually.
“I heard you started going to a group. Good for you, man. That’s...good.”
“Let me guess, Grandma made it sound like it was all my idea?” At my silence, he snorted in irritation. “Yeah, figured.”
“Oh, come on. It’s gotta be better than sitting around with some old dude one on one. It’s all kids your age, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, just a bunch of teenage screw ups sitting around sharing our feelings. And if we’re good, we get cookies at the end.”
“Cookies? What kind?”
He practically snarled, and I backed down.
“There’s gotta be some cute chicks in there though, right?”
Finally, a half smile. It fell a second later and he shrugged his shoulders indifferently, but I saw it.
Hi! Do you have anything to share for SSS? :)
As a matter of fact, I do. Thanks for asking! Here’s a SSS for Panem’s Most Eligible.
Katniss raises an eyebrow. “Why would she do that?”
Haymitch snorts. “Never underestimate a fame whore’s desire to stay in the spotlight, Sweetheart. Most people who go on these shows aren’t like the two of you.”
Peeta knows that much is true. And he doesn’t doubt Glimmer would absolutely do anything to get her face back on television. He just doubts their ability to predict what is going to happen tonight.
Hiii! Hope you're well :) Do you have an SSS to share today?
I’m so sorry, @alysanemormont!! I didn’t see this until today. Well, since I’ve already posted chapter 7 of Pure, can I tempt you with a preview of chapter 8?
“Come on,” he says.
“Where are we going?” I ask.
“Well I’d like to spend some time with my wife. And you should go dance. Nothing spells freedom in the face of someone who could ruin you better than dancing with the person you love.”
“I don’t,” I shake my head, trying to deny it.
“Maybe you don’t know exactly how yet, maybe you haven’t allowed yourself to even think it’s possible, but anyone looking at you two can see how much you care for one another. You’d be surprised how powerful that can be.”
Hi! Would you be able to do an SSS for The Tigers Come At Night this week please? (:
Thank you for asking @alysanemormont! It’s not Sunday, but here you go, a little preview of the next chapter for The Tigers Come at Night:
—
“They called me, too,” he tells us as we each take a seat around his kitchen table. I notice Peeta seemed to avoid having us sit in his front room. I wonder if it’s because it’s where we slept together yesterday. There is something kind of awkward about the idea of Haymitch sitting there, when just the day before we had been… well, I’m glad we’re in the kitchen, anymore.
“Is there anything we can do to get out of it, Haymitch?” Peeta asks as he settles in a chair across from him.
“I doubt it. Unless you can settle things in the districts and ensure total allegiance to the Capitol. I think you know how well that would turn out.”
“Is there anything we can do at all?” I ask, knowing how hopeless it is before I even get an answer.
“Just stay in love. Keep the act up,” Haymitch says as he begins picking away at a tray of cookies Peeta has on his table.
Peeta and I exchange a look.
“Is there something I should know about?” Haymitch asks, looking between both of us.
“No,” Peeta says quickly. I shake my head in agreement.
Haymitch eyes us both suspiciously. Something tells me he doesn’t quite buy it. But if he does or if he doesn’t, he doesn’t push the issue any further. “They’re going to want your presence these next few months,” Haymitch continues. “Since it is a Quell year. Normally they like to bring all the Victors to the Capitols, parade us around to promote it. I haven’t been around for one as a Victor before, but I’ve heard the stories. And you can bet there’s going to be plenty of bidders on time with you two. Snow will only be too happy to fulfill their requests.”

“It’s been too long,” Suki says. She lets them go, and points a finger to Zuko’s chest. “You don’t write enough.”
Sometimes it feels like all he does is write, but he knows what she means. He rubs at the back of his neck and tells her, “I’ll try harder.”
“Do you think you can try to plan your vacations in advance, too?” she asks. “We’re not exactly set up to host the Firelord right now.”
Zuko gestures to the empty space above his head. “No hairpiece. I’m not the Firelord right now.”
“Sure,” Suki says. “And when I’m not caked in face paint I forget how to kick your ass.”
“Suki,” Sokka says, his voice full of a fondness that makes Zuko’s chest ache, “leave the poor Firelord alone. I asked him to come, he’s basically my luggage.”

Hi, I don’t suppose you’re planning on releasing any more scenes from Peeta’s POV in The Bet? :)
Hi there! Yes, I’ll definitely post some more. I have a few more asks in my inbox requesting scenes from his POV. Sorry it’s taken me so long. But I’ll definitely share some more :) thanks for asking!
