Fun fact! If the moon were closer to the earth, it wouldn’t just smack into the Earth all Majora’s Mask style(unless it was going VERY fast or smth) but in fact it would be torn apart by Earth’s gravity, then our moon pieces would become a ring around the Earth! ... granted many pieces would crash into the earth and the tides would get messed up and the earth would be thrown into absolute ecological chaos, but! rings!!!
