He just didn’t get art. A robot, no, a five year-old could manage a few strokes of colour on a canvas and call it a painting apparently. Tomas had to remind himself that the money he was putting in for an exhibit hosted by some influencer was just part of the PR work. It might have bled his wallet a bit, but it wasn’t like he didn’t have enough to go around. As if he needed another car to be collecting dust in his garage anyways. Still, a check in with Alyssa Lally wouldn’t hurt, right?
Tomas had waited patiently for the crowd inside of the gallery to thin out before taking seat next to Lys. The painting in front of him caught his eye if only because the sight of it gave him a headache. “I can’t believe this one is selling for a million,” he said, studying a piece covered in bright splotches of paint. “But I guess art is expensive work. Speaking of, how’s the exhibition coming along?”
