Iguazu Falls, a land vast and beautiful well-known for it’s plethora of waterfalls and wildlife is situated between the countries of Argentina and Brazil, this was a country that Vera had not visited before… that was up until five months ago. It had been a year, a whole three hundred and sixty five days since she had decided to give up the standard life of working a boring job just as a means to get past in life, to build a life that society would deem as successful and normal. The thing about Vera was that she had always been so f a r from normal, that she detested it. For all of her life she had been imagining how to peel herself away from the normal and now that she had made it this far, she vowed that she would never be returning to the life that her parents wished so badly that she would have bowed her head to.
There was a small opening in the jungle where Vera had began to set up home. Close enough to the creatures she had been studying though not too close to intimidate, or be intimidated by. The weather was humid, too much for the likings of her but something that she was willing to deal with in order to work on what she had always had her heart set on. It caused her so much joy to be able to revel in a dream of hers that got tore down by so many witches and wizards growing up…
Vera had perched herself upon a rather large stone and was scribbling notes into a large, brown leather book, peering into the waters below her every few moments, and tilting her head to the side slightly as if listening for something, though to the naked ear only the chirping of an abundance of crickets could be heard trilling through the bushes.
❝ Hm… misunderstood… of course you are, ❞ The brunette muttered to herself, so softly she was barely audible to herself let alone to anyone, or anything, around her. A quick sketch of half man, half shark, was etched in black to the middle of the page that she was writing on.
