The password for the class will be sent at 6pm so please look out for your message and check your junk mail. Tonight will be a vinyasa flow suitable for all levels. A gentle focus on opening the heart space and shoulders and finding strength in the core. All you need is commitment to your practice and willingness to move and breathe in a way suitable for your body. No mat? No props? No problem. You just need a space. Maybe a pillow. GRATITUDE is how I’m feeling on Day 5 & Day 6 -Funky flying Lizard & Side Plank. I’ve been distracted by teaching my first ever LIVE yoga classes #zoomyogaflow and my goodness... wow... how grateful I am that you have all joined me 🤍 . It means more than you know that you chose to practice with me. There are thousands of online options and you chose to support me and join your local Yoga community. To see each other in our virtual yoga studio. Such a blessing that we have this technology to keep us all connected. . In my latest newsletter (sign up via my website) I said.... . I am certainly feeling grateful for so many things. For this opportunity to rest a little, for my family, friends, for YOU, for your support, for your donations, for TECHNOLOGY, for the fact that in amongst one of the biggest, most worrying, global, health crises that will be written in history books to come, we can all still come together to find some peace and joy. Technology can keep us connected. A thing that when you are in isolation, we realise how much we need human connection so deeply. Already this week not only are people working online, but also still celebrating and having parties, meeting new babies and grandparent are reading bedtime stories to their grandchildren, all online via Video messaging. Even during this time, when we are faced with the idea of loss, on many levels. We can still experience joy and gratitude. To feel gratitude for this moment. For this breath. Right now. NEW CLASS & FREE CLASSES 🐝 NEW CLASS, Cheadle!! I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be teaching a new warm vinyasa flow lunchtime class in Cheadle at the brand new & very beautiful studio @the_yogabee 🐝 12:30pm every Monday from 13th January. FREE CLASS!! As part of the launch I will be leading a practice on the following two dates and you can come try out the classes for FREE! Friday 10th January at 7:15pm -free Saturday 11th January at 2:30pm - free The venue is beautiful, quiet, calm, serene and warm! I need your bra’s!! Every year I do something for charity, this year I have decided to help raise funds for Against Breast Cancer. In my personal life I have family and friends who are fighting breast cancer. It took my grandmother only last year. Additionally, over the years I have been teaching yoga, I have been blessed to lead a practice for many wonderful women who are fighting or have battled through and beaten breast cancer. Most were told their chances were slim. They disagreed and they fought and they won. All of these women are inspirational, beautiful, radiant women. They amaze me with their strength and determination to WIN. And when they do, they shine so bright. Maybe even brighter than before. It’s not the case for everyone and there’s still a battle to fight. Against Breast Cancer (ABC) bra recycling scheme takes your unloved bras and recycled them to raise funds for pioneering breast cancer research. The same bras also help support small businesses in Africa. Their textile recovery project prevents bras going into landfill before giving them a new lease of life in developing countries where bras remain too expensive to produce locally. For every tonne of bras collected ABC receives £700 to fund research. So I’m hoping you get generous at clearing out your bra draws - reach out to friends, work colleagues, sisters, mothers, children, whoever. Maybe even go out and buy a bra especially! Any support would be gratefully received 🙏🏼 I will bring a bag with me so I can collect at the end of classes. Maybe you could even get a box set up at your work? I have a poster you can print if you’d like one. Let’s see how many bras we can get! I’ll do the final count on Sunday 10th June.
