Anyone else wondering why all the secrecy around Gillian having a role in 'The Crown'.
I mean wasn't that the whole point of all of her promotion of the show? It certainly wasn't for Peter since she has never even mentioned his name in one of her sm posts. Plus any talk of her role as Thatcher gets shot down. Don't you think negotiations would have been long over by now?
I'm beginning to think she's backing out of the show or she's planning on staying behind the scenes because only running the press train to better the image of a total asshole (🐢) is something I never expected of Gillian. 🤷♀️

Listen: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0cf8Dz4r7yrOdQ8UxwHCkz "# The New World Order: China's Bold Move for Global Dominance In recent years, the world has watched as Washington and Beijing engage in an increasingly intense struggle for supremacy, each vying for dominance across the economic, military, and technological spheres. The stakes have never been higher, and the implications for the global order are staggering. China has recently sent a clear signal that it is not just a contender but a force to be reckoned with, stepping boldly onto the world stage with its extensive pledges at the United Nations General Assembly. In the realm of international relations, perceptions are everything. And at this critical juncture, China is crafting its narrative with deft precision. From ambitious commitments on trade to fervent appeals aimed at addressing climate challenges, it is clear: Beijing is positioning itself as the world's next superpower. But make no mistake—it's not just about lofty speeches and promises. The reality is shaped by on-the-ground maneuvers, cyber warfare, and aggressive territorial ambitions, especially concerning Taiwan. Here to peel back the layers of this complex geopolitical landscape is Nicholas Burns, the former U.S. Ambassador to Beijing. With firsthand experience witnessing China’s unyielding quest for expanded influence, Burns sheds light on a troubling pattern of cyber attacks aimed at undermining the United States and a national security strategy centered on exerting control over its neighbors. As he joins us from New York, we’ll delve into what he has observed from the frontlines of this clash of titans—what it means for America, and what the world should brace itself for in the coming years. But that’s not all. Today’s episode also welcomes the brilliant Benny Safdie, director of “The Smashing Machine,” who brings a fresh perspective to the ever-evolving landscape of film and its intersection with societal issues. Complementing this insightful discussion is Trymaine Lee, author of “A Thousand Ways to Die,” whose exploration of mortality and human experience adds depth to our understanding of life in a fast-paced, unpredictable world. As we navigate these turbulent waters of international power struggle and artistic vision, one thing is unmistakable: the world is changing, and how we respond will define the future. Tune in and equip yourself with the insights to understand what lies ahead."
